About 6 years now of relative peace. We avoid talking, which is a very good thing. Cross over with graduations. In the next few years will have to deal with weddings, then grandchildren. We each do separate everything with the holidays, I expect that will continue with the grandchildren.

My ex is a divorce/family law attorney, I get along well with his mom. We still do all the birthdays and holidays together at his moms house.

Neither hubs nor I have any ex's. We've been attached at the hip since I was 19 and he was 20................Sooooo...given that, I'd say it's a safe bet we'll stay attached until the day we die.... Too old to start anew. Training a man is the hardest thing to do.....Been there, done that.
