OCA did not break a specific written rule of the board. We try to adhere to only moderating when absolutely necessary, but we also try and keep a sense of decency, especially when it comes to certain celebratory threads, prayer threads and threads that we just know shouldn't be tainted by animosity or trolling. OCA is a decent fellow, but him and Martin have quite a history. If he would like to fight with Martin, he can do so in appropriate threads, but in the announcements section where we are recognizing the MOTM is not appropriate IMO. If we "always" stuck to only addressing such issues when written rules are broken, the decency of our "family" here would start dwindling. We can still utilize as little moderation as possible and try to keep a sense of decency and respect when necessary. I hope that made sense.

What I don't understand is that there is a "member of the month" at the top of the forum (currently cp) and a "user of the month" at the bottom of the forum (currently our beloved, banned ANB).

Are these two separate recognitions?
