Default The writings of an African activist.

Acording to Lord Aikins Adusei, the poverty, unempolyment, crime, desease, wars, crumbling infrastructure and lack of medical care and education by all subsaharan nations of Africa, is the result of their corrupt black leaders.

This is an oddity because historicly, black Africans have blamed all of their problems on the greed of evil white westerners and colonialism...The very observant Lord Aikins Adusei has found the real problem and is talking about it.

I have to admit, I admire this guy's determination to help his people.

Lord Aikins Adusei devotes most of his articles to corrupt African leadership.

Does anyone have a theory as to why black leaders everywhere, seem to be corrupt?

If anyone has any examples of non-corrupt black leaders anywhere, you're encouraged to share.

There are plenty of non-corrupt black leaders here in the states.

Overseas though, it's more a product of the political and cultural system methinks and not so much a product of the race. You see a lot of corruption in underdeveloped countries regardless of their racial makeup.

Hell, you see a lot of corruption in developed countries like ours. Difference is, our corruption is more subtle, sophisticated and opaque.

Could you name any non-corrupt black leaders here in the States?

Absolutely, but I don't care to get into a pissing match on the subject since it's clear you have a chip on your shoulder on the matter so I won't bother.

If you are implying that ALL black political leaders are inherently corrupt simply because they're black, that's you're choice. I wholly disagree with it.

Not exactly...I am basicly referring to black politicians that are elected by black voters.

Black politicians like Congressman JC Watts, who are elected by white voters seem to be more honest.

Consider the many re-elections of Mayors Kwame Kilpatrick and Marion Barry, despite their corrupt histories?

Black voters have a track record for voting by racial/socialist standards, rather than honesty and morality.

The perfect candidate for 96% of black voters is a black politician who promises them the most government handouts.

LIke Byrd - a white guy, elected by white people, who was never shy about admitting he "brought home the bacon"?

You'd be surprised at how similar your argument is if you took out the racial references and thought about it.

No doubt, Byrd's political popularity was the result of the abundant supply of pork he provided to his WV constituents.

Byrd's connection to the KKK did not hinder his political career but actually benefitted it, considering the time period of his involvement.

He was a shrewed scoundrel whose persona was dependent on the political winds that happened to be blowing at any particular point in history.

But you certainly can't compare him to the likes of Kwame Kilpatrick or Marion Barry, who were guilty of Byrd's sins and much-much more.

If Byrd had been on the same level as these corrupt black politicians, you can be sure he would have never enjoyed his long political career.
