SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. - Springfield Pastor Bob Old said his decision to burn the Islamic holy book on September 11 has nothing to do with the agenda of the pastor in Florida or the controversy surrounding the mosque in New York.

He has his own reasons behind the demonstrations and no intentions of backing down.

People like this are why i cant just sit down and analyze the world. If i do sit down and try, it leads to depression and a headache that lasts for the rest of the day. The stupidity of the world just drives me crazy and there is absolutely nothing anybody can do about the insanity of the human race. It is just something future generations will have to live with. That is why i cant stand people who think there will be a day with no war and no violence. War has existed since the earliest form of the human race. Wars were fought over race were even fought back then too (or species rather. I forget the species name but i think it was early Hominids vs Cavemen [Yes they are different]). It is unfathomable to me that peace will ever exist, but if it does we certainly wont see it in our lifetime. I find all of this unnecessary because it will have no positive effects and will only spawn hate and violence.

After former CBS News anchor Dan Rather argued that "I think it's opened the door to both, but, on balance, and in the main, it's still a net plus in terms of the country's reputation," the BBC’s Katty Kay agreed and implicated President Bush in damaging America’s relations with the Muslim world. Kay: "I agree that it's a net plus, particularly when you compare it with what came before and the invasion of Iraq and how much of a problem that was for America's relations with the Middle East."
