Placing pictures on the board

Many have found the "Manage Attachments" option when posting a thread to be too complex and have issues getting their pictures in a post. Let's use this thread to answer any questions that members may have about uploading photos directly to the board.

Also, and my preferred method, you can still use a photo upload website and link to your photos.

My site of choice is TinyPic - http://tinypic.com/

It's free to join and you'll have all of your pictures handy for whenever you need them. I have about 1500 in my account on TinyPic and this way not only are they always handy, but it's another way to store them and not lose them.

Once you join the site for free, you choose "Browse" on the main page and browse your computer until you find your picture - then hit upload. That's it!!

It will upload your photo and then come back with a screen like this:

For OUR community, you would just COPY the box that states "IMG Code for Forums and Message Boards"

You just place what you COPY anywhere in your post box and the linked picture will show up in your post. The picture above is from the vB built in "Manage Attachments" - which is small, but when you click on it you see full size. If you use a service like "TinyPic", Imageshack, Photobucket or any others (they are all alike) - and you place the code as I've shown, the picture will appear in your post as "full size".

*** The reason I bring this up is I have had 3 people this week have issues with either linking to pictures or using the built in attachment manager. So this will be our official thread to help those having issues posting pictures!!

I use tiny pics too, used to use image shack, just found tiny pic easier and faster at the time I switched.

i prefer ImageShack, specially its uploading program, it makes uploading too easy, and i never have to open the website.

I was actually just kidding. I get along with all of my past ladyfriends except for the most recent one who crushed me about a year and a half ago.

I don't even wish that she would crash her Camry into a light pole and get mangled to death or anything of the sort.

When my marriages ended I only wished they would remarry or meet someone else and leave me alone.

You sound an awful lot like me. I've had my heart crushed quite a few times. I never once wished these ladies would literally have their hearts ripped out of their chests to feel my pain.
