Continued attempts to create a Nanny State
The situation: A major league baseball player throws a ball into the stands during as game. Something that has happened every freaking night for decades. Only this time, at a Texas Rangers game in Arlington, a fan reaching out to grab the ball falls out of the stands and dies.
Now there are all sorts of cries to ban throwing balls into the stands. And for higher fences.
And, undoubtedly, some greedy ass lawyer will file a huge lawsuit against baseball, of which half the settlement will go to him. More profiting off death.
This is one area where I totally agree with Republicans: We must resist ALL attempts to create a Nanny State in our country.
