I suggest you not bring up which side uses more "fear" to manipulate the people. Fear has been the backbone of the Republican agenda for the past 6 years. Before every election they try to scare the shit out of the American public with threats of terrorist attacks and a defenseless government under Democrats.

After 9/11, the Bush administration had the American public leashed by their necks. They would send waves of fear to all big cities screaming "THERE WILL MOST LIKELY BE A TERRORIST ATTACK WITHIN THE NEXT DAY!!..BRACE YOURSELVES NEW YORK, IT’S ABOUT TO COME!" People would turn on their TV's to see that the government had raised the "Terror Threat" to "HIGH ALERT!!"...
Two days later, it would somehow fall to the lowest threat level...and everything would be ok. This was all part of the “See America, George Bush protects us!! ” scheme.

Curiously, no other terrorist attacks have occurred since 2001, and nothing out of the ordinary seems to be happening under Democratic control.

Actually, the topic that was under discussion was Global Warming. Not Democratic talking points in general.
You decided to take my statement meant specifically to the right-wingers who don't acknowledge Al Gore and turn it into a "If you disagree with them on any issue".
