    I like him and Newt.

    I like him...
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself."

Tancredo has a snowball's chance in hell...but I really like the idea of the republican party nominating Newt - a serial adulterer with a history of screwing the hired help.

I think you're "opinion" of Tancredo's chances is tainted through your liberal rose colored glasses.

I think he has a great chance.

Not really Pale, unfortunately McCain is the RNC's boy and will win the nomination.

    How much you wanna bet?

McCain's a fucking liberal drapped in conservative clothing. I think most conservatives see that.

Tancredo *might* have a chance at the nomination. But he hasn't a snowball's chance in hell of winning a general election. The only conservative running on the Repub side who I think could win over the middle and maybe some left-leaners is Huckabee.

Other than that, the Repubs have a long history of annointing their front-runners. People wait their turn, get their nod. Your candidate is going to be McCain... who is far from liberal on any issue that matters to left-leaners. Now... Giuliani would be far more interesting. He'd be the one to get the cross-over voters, but you guys would never give him the shot because he's socially moderate.

McCain would have cruised into the White House in 2000.

Someone high up in the RNC didn't want him to be president, and had his campaign derailed.

I don't think things will be any different this time around.

Nah, there is nobody else. I like Giuliani except he supports infanticide and queer lifestyle choice marriage so can't vote for him.

I won't vote for McCain, nor Guiliani. Therein lies the problem .... the Republicans haven't groomed anyone. That as much as anything else is going to put a Democrat in the White House.
