They took care of the old folks in their day, you want us to be the ungrateful generation? Our parents generation paid into social security all their lives and you would steal that money away from them? Americans today are the most self centered, selfish people. Our parents paid for our grandparents social security, now selfish Americans like you want to cut our parents off. Unbelievable.

I see you don't know much about the SS system. I had a MIL that only payed in to the system a few years. But she drew benefits for 25 years after retirement. At best she paid in what she got back in a few months. Who do you think payed for the other 24 years?

I'm sure if his granny WAS the first one thrown off, he would be happy to help support her. Somehow, for ages past, old people were taken care of WITHOUT the government's intervention. It's called "family." I know that word is becoming increasingly meaningless in our culture...

My grandparents are deceased - but my dad draws Social Security. What I'm saying is - STOP stealing MY money to pay for somebody else's retirement. Use money currently available to pay for those who have spent a lifetime being fleeced by the Govt.
