    Default This day in history

SO this day in history the Batle of Cowpens occurred. Depicted in the film "The Patriot" (with LOTS of artistic license) the Revolutionary War patriots (or rebels, depending which side you were on) beat the snot out of the Brits. It is also the day in 1961 that outgoing President Eisenhower warned about the "military - industrial" complex.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

I should add that, despite what you may hear, I was NOT at the Battle of Cowpens. I think Gaffer was there though.

    It went well.
When I die I'm sure to go to heaven, cause I spent my time in hell.

You get more with a kind word and a two by four, than you do with just a kind word.
