Rape Crisis movement? Hate to tell you this, rape's gone down as we've become more civilized.

Here's the thing, though: You refuse to talk about anything but what you want to talk about, so what's the point of talking about this?

Or to shorten this, all rape=bad

There is no one on this whole board that's going to argue it, or argue that more people should report it when it happens. So what is the point of your thread topic other than creating another drama thread?

It's wonderful that black and white women are taking more of a stand against rape and reporting them more often.

However, rape of black women has less than nothing to do with slavery or Jim Crow laws, and more to do with the facts presented in this report.

seventy-seven (77)% of completed rapes are committed by non-strangers (Bureau of Justice Statistics, 1997). A woman is four times more likely to be raped by an acquaintance than by a stranger (Illinois Coaliltion Against Sexual Assault, 2002). Acquaintance rape is rarely reported to police. Less than 2% of acquaintance rape victims reported the assault whereas 21% of women raped by strangers reported the crime to police (Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault, 2002).

I also went to the FBI crime reports to see if they list rapes by victim/offender race, and I didn't see that. I would venture to guess that MOST rapes like MOST murders are people of the same race. Meaning, WS, that black men are raping black women.
