That's how my mom would do it, but no matter how hard she tried to get me to do it, I just couldn't. Killing, gutting and defeathering chickens was stinky enough. Every time she did the rabbit I would end up throwing up.Originally Posted by dmp

I've never understood the roots of the word 'humane'. I understand the reasoning-- no undue suffering-- but really, I think killing is killing. Not saying its right or wrong, unjustifiable or what not, but in the end its taking a life and the ethical consideration of humaneness seems a bit circumspect to act itself.
