Although I can commend you on your convictions. This story is about SYNTHETIC marijuana which has NOTHING in common with real marijuana. This is some cooked up nasty stuff that so far has been left legal on the shelves of some stores. So your rant about stoner's is misguided in this instance... Show me a SINGLE incident where marijuana has caused anything remotely like this and I don't mean the type laced with anything... Pure marijuana is a almost perfect drug for many medicinal purposes due to how it reacts in he body and so few adverse sid affects. After all God developed it and chemical companies spend billions trying to replicate it in a form to sell as a perscription...

First, let me say that, in general, what others choose to do with their bodies is not a huge concern to me... it's their funeral. Not going to get into a discussion in this thread about 'what is the bus driver smokes before work', etc.
I explained to my son about drugs, both legal and illegal. Why some were not legal. What the various affects can be. And that sometimes, they can do serous damage, or kill you outright.
I then explained this story, about the difference between pot and artificial pot, both chemically and legally.
Then, I showed him the before and after pictures of the young girl. I honestly thought he was gonna cry for a second, but he held it together nicely. I explained this 'can' happen, and that it really wasn't worth the risk. He agreed.
I then got the question every parent dreads. 'Did you ever use drugs dad?' I will not lie to my son to look good, so I admitted some minor pot use in high school. Luckily, I wasn't really into it, and it stopped there.
That's pretty much the conversation.

Sad story to read, and discuss here. But she supposedly was smart enough to know what she was doing. At least....that's what ALL Weed Users, and other drug users say in defense of their needs to smoke, inject, and Inhale.
I hope the people of Colorado are prepared for a huge climb in such terrible stories as the LEGAL use of Marijuana becomes competitive price wise...and the users look for cheaper sources like This young woman did.
Let's see, down the road. How much of this stuff the OBAMACARE package will cover when the citizens who voted to legalize it...GET THE BILLS.
