Default What I saw upon awakening this morning :)

Taken over the fence-area surrounding the pool, looking down on part of the pond, the barn to the right - and out towards the back-back yard. Shot taken about 45 minutes ago.

“… the greatest detractor from high performance is fear: fear that you are not prepared, fear that you are in over your head, fear that you are not worthy, and ultimately, fear of failure. If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.

Thank you - really blessed to be around this.

The day after I took that photo, I took another; earlier in the morning.

Tell me why you don't have a skating rink set up on the left side.

    Default Good photographers understand

I have no formal trainng on photographs but like you, i try hard to get those rare outstanding photos.

I have dabbled in studying this artform but it is very difficult to come out with some stunning photos. Nature does all it can to help. But once photos are shown, a lot of people say, gee, that is pretty.

A great photo is not merely pretty, it blows your doors off.

I have taken a few of those.

You know you have one when people will stop to actually study the photo.

I have some fantastic photos in Yosemite. I also found the perfect place to get a shot of Mt. Shasta to display it in all it's glory. I have taken many pretty pictures of that mountain but so far got one great photo.

I took many shots at the Grand Canyon but unfortunately don't have any that I rate as top photos. Damn. Too bad too. I tried to get some.
