Default The Middle of the World

My wife and I will watch this together this weekend. It is a modern day "Grapes of Wrath". The first two links refer to the English language version.

Romão, illiterate and unemployed, feels destiny drawing him on an odyssey to Rio de Janeiro in pursuit of a job and a decent life. A family of seven journeys 2,000 miles across the hinterlands of Brazil on bicycles. Along the way, the story explores the inner dynamics of a family facing a great challenge with the courage to pursue dreams.

The original in its entirety is posted on Youtube. The YouTube version has no dubbing or subtitles however.

We watched it and my wife was annoyed how the husband let his family go hungry when he had many occasions in his power to do otherwise.
