The father of a Connecticut child is furious after discovering that his son’s school is teaching students that Americans don’t have a Second Amendment right to bear arms.

“I am appalled,” said Steven Boibeaux, of Bristol. “It sounds to me like they are trying to indoctrinate our kids.”
Boibeaux’s son is an eighth grader at Northeast Middle School.

On Monday his social studies teacher gave students a worksheet titled, ‘The Second Amendment Today.’ “The courts have consistently determined that the Second Amendment does not ensure each individual the right to bear arms,” the worksheet states. “The courts have never found a law regulating the private ownership of weapons unconstitutional.

The worksheet, published by Instructional Fair, goes on to say that the Second Amendment is not incorporated against the states.
“This means that the rights of this amendment are not extended to the individual citizens of the states,” the worksheet reads. “So a person has no right to complain about a Second Amendment violation by state laws.”

Do I even need to bring up the point that the Amendment literally says "The right of the People to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed"? Or that the DC handgun ban was declared a violation of the 2nd Amendment?

This is such monumentally incorrect information, I just don't get how the teacher thought it wouldn't get bullshit called on it.

Cut him slack if he is young and dumb . If he was not deliberately lying to indoctrinate the kids. Teach him the error of his ways and make him understand that another incident will end in his termination. I could go with that ..and I'm a hardliner.. -Tyr

Tyr. That's the biggest problem all of us have these days. Always feeling we need to cut them slack, while they take over, and pretend it was all an accident...as they promise Not to do it again. Meanwhile. The damage has been done if the children were the targets.

Kat my older boy came home a couple years ago arguing with me that WW2 caused the great depression , he told me his teacher told them that, I argued with him that he must of misunderstood and the next day when he came home he told me NO dad you're wrong , I had to show him dates

Just this week my youngest came home telling me that Vietnamese people live in tunnels underground and during the war we would go into them grab the first one and put a gun to his head and make him call his buddies in their language (telling them it is ok to come out ) and when they came out we would shoot them, yup another trip to the school is coming,( these liberal teachers make me sick) Trinity I am truly starting to believe the only way a child can get a good education anymore is home schooling

I have to ask, "How old are these teachers?" Some of what 'kids' are learning in university is pretty wrong and one must believe it's intentional, IMO. Then they are sent out to spread the poison.

Kat the HS teacher happened a couple of years ago and honestly I had never met her as for the situation now I will let you know this afternoon , the boys graduate this year to middle school and I am sure the vice principal is thrilled to see me go But I am not one to sit by as my children are either mistreated or taught wrong , over all though the grammar school did a great job both boys have either been on the honor roll or the principals lists since they have started school and this last marking period they both are on the principals list so if they finish the year off that way I have promised them a surprise ( I better start saving , 10 and 11 years old and they want Iphones ) actually the phones they want they are allowed to use at school, they only work when in a wifi area but the kids down load all there games and stuff and now a days you can find wifi anywhere so they can text their friends all they want, but really they want to be able to get on FB, imagine them being able to talk to uncle Jim everyday
