Man is a marvelous curiosity … he thinks he is the Creator's pet … he even believes the Creator loves him; has a passion for him; sits up nights to admire him; yes and watch over him and keep him out of trouble. He prays to him and thinks He listens. Isn't it a quaint idea.

That's not so. I find little worth even admiration in Hitler's life. I'm merely stating facts.
However, you've raised an interesting issue. A portion of the American population still supports, respects and defends Bush despite all the evidence we have of his incompetence and his wretched nature. I think wingnuts idolize Bush. I think reason has left them and they now worship him.
Building a better America by hammering the Right.
How is it that the liberals on this board manage to "miss" all the negative comment that conservatives make about Bush? I think it's a pretty strong indicator that you either do not read them or refuse to see reality. Maybe liberals wish they had someone to feel good about once in awhile.
A nutcase will do nutty things.
Comparing Hilter to anybody (especially claiming he's better than somebody) is one of the most idiotic, insulting, degrading thing you can possibly do, unless that person is revving his country up to conquor the world and talking seriously about the total extermination of an entire race (Ahmadenijad).
Also, Hitler was a fascist, not a socialist, and he was most certainly insane, as well as high, for most of the war.

Name one thing the government does better than the private sector and I'll show you something that requires the use of force to accomplish.
Outside of Pale Rider's condemnation of the course of the war, I don't see any rightwinger straying from the company line. The 27% lives here at DP.
We have been saying the same thing about you for quite some time now.
The trouble with conservatives is that they often mistake any kind of critical comment that Liberals make about their own folks as disapproval. Nothing could be further from the truth. We like to tell the truth, not cover it up. Maybe when rightwingers abandon Reagan's 11th Commandment and start giving their own the critical eye instead of marching in lockstep with everything out of a misconstrued sense of loyalty, you won't have congressional leadership turning a blind eye to a child predator in their midst, you won't have abuses like Building 18 at Walter Reed, and you won't have a war based on false premises raging out of control on the other side of the world.
BTW, we're going to feel real good come November 2008 once we are rid of this corrupt administration and move towards super majorities in Congress. The end of the Neocon Era is within sight.
Who else is as much a Bush-basher as I???
