Default Children of Johnson-Reddick applaud her death

    Hyphenated last name, hmmmmmmmmmmm........

Among other things, the obituary claims she "tortured" her children and that they "celebrated her passing." Many are asking if this obituary is real and what is the story behind it. News 4 did some digging and found the obituary is, in fact, real.

When I read stories like this I'm thankful all my half-siblings had moved out before I was three years old. They only hassled me as visitors, thankfully.

There's a house down the street here that we've always called "haunted" since it receives no maintenance. Someone cuts the grass and that's it. I found out the deal on it not long ago. It's owner is a hoarder. Her children, now in their 40's all left home as soon as they could. Not because of abuse but filth and trash everywhere. They take turns cutting the grass and bringing her food. When the roof started to leak in one room she just closed the door off to it and lived in the rest of the house. It just got condemned last month, the woman physically removed from it and the city is going through the process of having it torn down.

This reminded my wife and I about a Book, and later, a movie called "Flowers in the Attic".

That was fictional, but this story seems to reflect how fiction can become reality.

I thank God that my family all 11 of us kids had a mother and a father that loved us dearly. My father passed away in 1969 from a long bout with pancreatic cancer. I was 15 years old and remember hearing him crying one night about not being there for us kids , I had 6 younger brothers and sisters. I have never forgotten that. I have made very sure my kids know that I love them far more than myself. I think all parents should do that.. -Tyr
