When a movie can give me the willies I know it's a good one. And that is very rare.
No scary movie ever gave me the willies because as a child I had to deal with a real bad spirit that scared me and my older brother for a year. Yes, we both heard it at night and its beating on the walls , even coming to the window asking to be let in. Seems they can not enter the home unless invited in. Anyways , we finally told my Dad what had been going on, this started the first week we had moved into the new house on the farm. He and a deacon from the church went in all the rooms in the house and out in the yard praying and admonishing in the name of Christ to never return . Found that all that stuff out a few years later but my Dad told us three days after we told him about that it would never return and he was right--- we lay awake at night for a couple weeks but nothing , never did return. Certainly gave me a new view on this world. Mom said " if boys weren't so mean tha' devil wouldn't be sending his minions to torment ya in the first place."--
True story and do not care who doesn't believe it. -- I just remember had a beautiful girl I dated in the 70's whose mother was a practicing witch . When I broke up with her she told me she had her mom to send spirits to curse me etc. I laughed at her and told her tough shat its been tried before I have my own special body guard. Nothing ever happened ,well, except I ran my 73' Dodge Charger of into a ditch a few days after she told me that, still haven't figured out how and why it zipped over into ditch the way it did. Just felt like a huge wind pushed it.. Dismissed it all and went on with my own hell raising.
