Obama and Reid visit a dying priest

In Washington , D.C. an old priest lay dying in the hospital. For years he
had faithfully served the people of the nation’s capital and was well known
among the elected officials. He motioned for his nurse to come near.
“Yes, Father?” said the nurse.
“I would really like to see President Obama and Senator Reid before I die,”
whispered the priest.
“I’ll see what I can do, Father”, replied the nurse.
The nurse sent the request to The President and Congress and
waited for a response.
Soon the word arrived; President Obama and Harry Reid would be delighted to
visit the priest.
As they went to the hospital, Obama commented to Reid, “I don’t know why the
old priest wants to see us, but it will certainly help our images.”
Reid agreed that it was a good thing.
When they arrived at the priest’s room, the priest took Obama’s hand in his
right hand and Reid’s hand in his left hand.. There was silence and a look
of serenity on the old priest’s face.. Finally President Obama spoke.
“Father, of all the people you could have chosen, why did you choose us to
be with you as you near the end?”
The old priest slowly replied, “I have always tried to pattern my life after
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
“Amen”, said Obama.
“Amen”, said Reid.
The old priest continued, “Jesus died between two lying thieves; I would
like to do the same.”

I had two of my older brothers and a couple friends over Sunday for the usual Sunday meal and bullshat session. I showed them this post. They got a helluva a kick out of it Jeff. Give your brothers the address here it sounds like a couple of smart guys !! We could use them here considering all the wannabe conservatives we have here ( wannabe conservative = ashamed to be liberals ) but hey they are smart ( just ask them and they will tell ya )

Both of my older brothers read here back when I first joined and I was attacked and called everything but a white man. I still remember their comments back then so I doubt they would be interested. Neither one is as stubborn as I am . I stayed back then because I have a do or die mentality when I am in any kind of confrontation which neither one of them have. Both believe in action not words. True this site has changed much for the better and most the assholes either left or were banned since then but seeing as how they both ask me often why do you waste time discussing politics on the internet I doubt they'd do anything but laugh at me. You know what , I will do so next time they are here. I want to see if my judgment of their reactions pans out. Man, if Jesse would join you guys would see a real tough hombre that has the brain to match. ---Tyr
