Rocky Shores Now So Sorely Bruise These Naked Feet
Bitter the thickest of brine at the water's edge
bringing memories of your lying fallen pledge;
clashing with hoarded treasures of hot wondrous nights
are your empty words, once believed to be so right.
Rocky shores now so sorely bruise these naked feet
I wonder if ever again, love we shall meet.
Across watery divide, this truth I confide
I then, so in love had dismissed your darker side;
now the tormenting night-ghosts of what might have been
curse, happily point out you were never my friend.
Rocky shores now so sorely bruise these naked feet
I wonder if ever again, love we shall meet.
With angry waves stirring up bleached bones in that brine
this demolished grieving soul, screams out please be mine;
in vivid dreams heart tragically cries your name
knowing no mercy comes, sorrows always remain.
Rocky shores now so sorely bruise these naked feet
I wonder if ever again, love we shall meet.

Rhyme- *Sad and Dark*, ( Dreams Remembered, Sorrows That Ache)
Note- Oft from a dream remembered, I find fodder to compose.
in this case the dream was based upon a real life loss love from my youth.
Sometimes the pain and sorrows are too great and instead of writing to present here - I bury it deeper, while hoping it magically disappears.
Never works but often we repeat in hope that some relief be granted.
Having now written this piece, perhaps such relief shall be given..
