In This Olden Soul, A Fast Dancing Horse
In this olden soul, a fast dancing horse
lively one I now can not ride, of course.
Looking on this world, it races away
saddened by hidden darkness holding sway.
With echoing hoofs tapping stronger beats
I dream of my love between silken sheets.
Her long, pretty hair with its golden sheen
as I recall, fantasies of my teens.
Pounding of my heart when love's race is on
sorrowful stampede when my love has gone.
At such pain, horse speeds into the mists
I beat wailing walls, with my bloody fists.
In this olden soul, a fast dancing horse
its premature death, my greatest remorse.

In Your Love Dreams She Kisses You All Night
When you see her, her bright smile knocks you down
sweetest, prettiest girl in her small town.
But you were too scared, and you never asked,
in her beloved memory you now bask.
Join the club, many have been down that road
afraid of great beauty, scared to be bold.
In your love dreams, she kisses you all night
everything is just swell, all is so right.
Then dawn arrives, you wake up all alone
your longed for night-angel away has flown.
Your morning breakfast does not taste the same
far away, you hear echoes, say her name.
Day drags by, you race home to go to sleep
for she comes when dreams are fever-pitch deep.
Gobble down your cold supper, hit the hay
please, please let her come, you silently pray.
Soft clouds flow in, suddenly they depart,
she comes, easing into your wanting heart.
When you see her, her bright smile knocks you down
sweetest, prettiest girl in her small town.
But you were too scared, and you never asked,
in her beloved memory you now bask.
Join the club, many have been down that road
afraid of great beauty, scared to be bold.

What Matters, Should One See Past That Last Mile
What matters, diamonds , silver or gold
when one is getting slow and too damn old.
What matters, if the truest of truths be told,
that dying alone is so sad and cold?
What matters, if life yields no more ripe fruits
when one will soon visit soil and grass roots.
What matters, if ones buried without boots,
or if one can dies with life's stolen loot?
What matters, if blue skies no longer smile
and one sees the past, world's evil and guile.
What matters, should one see past that last mile,
or hold on harder just a little while?
Love, Family and Life is what matters
Without Love, all is thin glass that shatters.

Old Note- Inspired by book I read. A very sad tale of an old man dying alone in a cabin, deep in the wilderness. Having lived his last years enjoying Nature's beauty and the inner peace that often comes from its magnificence and solitude. He having lived a great and wild life when young but dying alone , having no children and self-exiled from his friends, saw the sad truth in his last days..
New Note- Sharing this taken from one of my private journals. Looking back I I see that this was written a few months after my 14 year old baby brother's electrocution death.. Trying to remember how much of that went into this piece....

With Joy, Your Singing Voice Echoes Our Love
Hold true this obsession of mine
that my world forever be free
with great joy and brightest sunshine
upon green meadows and Oak tree;
that my right hand be clasped with thine
nights spent in sensual display,
taste of luscious grapes on the vine
sent by your soft kisses each day.
Hold true this obsession of mine
winning your heart my faithful goal
pray our years all joyous and fine
fulfilling love-dreams in the whole;
with dance, calmest of interludes,
beauty complimenting thy grace,
we fly to lofty altitudes
our deep love, nothing can erase.
Hold true this obsession of mine
that treasures I lay at you feet
I forever let your light shine
each dawn waking to your smile greet;
with rapture born of life well spent
your singing voice echoes our love
your beauty there on satin sheets
and our happiness born thereof.

Once A Wild Child, Playing Barefooted In Deep Snow
Until you have walked the hard path, felt its brutal cold
stopped believing this world, in it great lies being sold
do not ever step forth and dare try to ridicule me
for I am a seeding planted beneath Truth's great tree.
Taught from birth, Nature is far greater friend than foe
once a wild child playing barefooted, in deep snow
now a man that has lived with his eyes wide open
never deceived into being another blinded token.
Truth came in with my birth and Native American blood
later knowledge of Nature's gift like a raging flood
I sleep and dream of earth, virgin as once it stood
Yes, I would remove man's many stains if only I could.
Until you have walked the hard path, felt its brutal cold
Stopped believing this world, in it great lies being sold.

Tend Thy Orchard, Its Bad Limbs Prune
Shall thee let hope hold firmest sway,
Live life well now, without delay;
Enjoy the beach and its cool nights
Walk under moon's soft beaming lights.
Remember sorrow comes with grey,
Relief shall come if one but prays:
Yet thy heart must seek, stay in tune,
Tend thy orchard, its bad limbs prune.
Hold thee deep, virtues that are good,
Rarely say, if only I could;
Be given more, my days are hard
Life now deals me very bad cards.
Send me more, I deserve it all:
I bow and answer thy hard call,
Reward me for my greater work,
For my duty I never shirk.
Tis' best to in a humble way,
Sacrifice more, asking no pay;
Enjoy hard tasks, thee are blessed,
With those unseen hands that caressed,
Faithful Hearts and Souls from the start,
Joined in truth that which never parts.
Embrace the favors in Truth's Light,
Fear not demons of darkest night.

Breathing, Soft Heaving Bosom Swells
Swaying rhythmic her hips
Tantalizing her lips
Blue casting sapphire eyes
Dancing under night skies
Such heavenly sweet trips
Docking side by side ships.
Breathing, soft heaving bosom swells
O' pleasures, past glorious bells
And Fated bounty was given
For then Love was in the liven
First kiss, gold coins in wishing wells
Sexual thoughts one never tells.
Swaying rhythmic her hips
Tantalizing her lips
Blue casting sapphire eyes
Dancing under night skies
Such heavenly sweet trips
Docking side by side ships.

Muse said, write and today make it happy and glad
for those dark storming skies have fled far out to sea
think of the wonders, the past lovers you've had
pen poetic words that renews soul, sets one free.

The poem presented below is my entry in SilentOne's , Response to If' contest. The title If refers to Rudyard Kipling's worlds famous poem titled If.
Presented just below my entry. I make no pretense that my poem even starts to approach the brilliance and world famous class of Kipling's fantastic verses. I simply wrote to the best of my ability and what his awesome and world famous creation inspired me to compose.--Tyr
IF
If you can help others fulfill their dreams
And your heart ever seeks far greater Light
If you hold true, evade life tempting schemes
And with honor, you sleep in peace at night;
If better Life and true Love are your goals
And every day you give your very best
If you reject dark lusts, their heavy tolls
And try to give others their needed rest:
If your, family, its love is your rock
Your spirit dances with dearest of hope
If you do not wither from life's hard knocks
And you endeavor to expand mind's scope;
If kindness, is steady shield you embrace
And in its warmth, your soul chooses to bask
If you see courage's truth, is no disgrace
And ever seek to learn more when you ask:
If you embrace Nature, its awesome gifts
Seek sanctuary in its sweet abode
If gentleness is your key that uplifts
And you reject evil you have been sold;
If in this life, you hold your head up high
And wake each new morn with thankful delight
If your heart's sincere love you not deny
You will find its blessings forever right!
If in times of sorrow you dare not fold
And with brave heart face darkest of sorrows
If years flow, you find you are very old
And you can face shortness of tomorrows;
If your past brings with it a certain pride
And your memories hold that Life was sweet
If from Light's shining truths you do not hide
Heaven's gate, your loved ones you will greet!

If—
BY RUDYARD KIPLING
(‘Brother Square-Toes’—Rewards and Fairies)
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!
