Wish I, That Time Within Its Flow

Wish I, that Time within its flow,
had sent forth my birth long ago.
In its union with Man and Fate,
had not sprouted this soul too late.
For now heart cries in spurts and moans,
sorrows found deep in aching bones!

In my woeful and darkened days,
    over and deep, misery plays.
Red sun sets but I see no shine,
dark rests seas filled with bitter brine.
Shallow are the night's streaming dreams,
    far too pale wandering moonbeams!

When I cry thus, "Woe this sad life"
Fate smiles and stabs deeper its knife.
A triple twist and mind explodes
pity I chose these darkened roads.
As pain then joins with sorrow's grief,
    despair's pits come beyond belief!

    Ancient history would have found,
this soul at rest and never bound.
For my curse, life is now too fast
chained to ship sailing at full mast.
Seas stormy and waves crashing high,
thus Heaven hears not my sad cries!

Wish I, that Time within its flow,
had sent forth my birth long ago.
In its union with Man and Fate,
had not sprouted this soul too late.
For now heart cries in spurts and moans,
sorrows found deep in aching bones!
