Part One, Memories From The House Of Usher
Within the icy cold stare existed
There in the shadows, just baiting, baiting
Midnight rings out and all becomes twisted
The house, the old house- its victims waiting
Waiting for that sad darkness and its hell
As dead-silence calls from ghost laden walls
Under the moon, in dreams- fly witch cast spells
Whilst creaking, creaking sounds ease from dark halls
Halls that ooze out streams of frothy red stains
Above the cellar and dungeon just below
What now, of the house of Usher remains
Or Poe's dark writings and its hellish shows
Shows and horrors, midnight and crying shouts
Beast, ravenous appetite- born of lusts
Within deep darkness, yellow eyes look out
At ghastly remains, death and falling dust

Part Two, Memories From The House Of Usher
Within the icy cold stare existed
There in the shadows, just waiting, waiting
Midnight rings out and all becomes twisted
The house, the old house- its victims baiting.
Baiting unto that darkness and its hell
As dead-silence calls for ghost laden walls
Under the moon, in dreams- fly witch cast spells
And creaking, creaking sounds ease from dark halls.
Halls that ooze out streams of frothy red stains
Above the cellar and dungeon just below
What now, of the house of Usher remains
Or Poe's dark writings and its hellish shows.
Shows and horrors, midnight and crying shouts.

You Walk Into Stonewalls, Just To Feel The Hard Knocks
O where do you go when you can no longer stand
When flowers are fallen and dying colors bland
Everywhere fly sorrows, heart does not agree
And amidst darkness, even eagles cannot see.
You walk into stonewalls, just to feel the hard knocks
Breakfast is cold, crunchy as sharply broken rocks.
O do you from such pitiful state ever rise
Morn comes crying, bad is everyday surprise
Night wails its curses and moon refuses to shine
And in that lonely, you know you've lost what is fine.
You walk into stonewalls, just to feel the hard knocks
Breakfast is cold, crunchy as sharply broken rocks.
O can one ever a new island hope to find
When misery has come and sealed his eyes blind
What can a poor boy discover to give release
Or dare to dream of that true love, joy and sweet peace?
You walk into stonewalls, just to feel the hard knocks.
Breakfast is cold, crunchy as sharply broken rocks.

But Time Came To Your Side, Saying, Now I Insist
Fate, know this far deeper thought- stay alive I must
For one shallow day, die I become bone and dust
Silent, so calmly asleep, turn I into stone
Beneath green pastures, weeping I for her alone
As fleeing winds, moan when hearing my futile cries
I that so deeply weep, beneath Nature's blue skies.
Fate, know this- your awesome powers, I did resist.
But Time came to your side, saying --now I insist.

Once Submerged Beneath The Dark, Accursed Sea
Darkened winds beyond the long and hidden veil,
Rising sea its calm repose then casts away,
From some distance away, moaning church bell
Calling faithful and sinners, come lets pray
Tho' Fate with its power cries more in store
Here I stood, stoutly battling the unknown
With feeble words, I did each plea implore
For greater mercy and light to be shown.
Horrific dark power blasts heart and soul
Curse given out by death's repugnant hand
Raging waters swirl, bringing Fated toll
Painful cuts slash beauty of all the land
Fate with its power cries such shall be so
And mortals shall then fear my awesome wrath
At birth each is destined to soon go
Beyond the veil on a mystery path.
Although the defiant this end may cry
And with bravado seek to change that course
None, nary one Fated ending defy
Beyond the veil, all dreams flesh must divorce
Thus I stood, sword broken shield cast away
Mere flesh raging against eternity
Then the bell rang, sounding, come here to pray
For light and truth offers infinity.

You Brought Love's Truth, The Brightest Light To Me
Inspired by the song- Calum Scott, Leona Lewis - You Are The Reason (Duet Version)
*****************
You Brought Love's Truth, The Brightest Light To Me
You, you are the reason I became me
You brought the truth, the brightest light to me
You calmed the uproarious ocean
You stilled the turbulent emotion
Your tender heart gave its sweet loving glow
Your presence, your true love took me in tow
Your soft touch, your lips gave me sweetest kiss
Your beauty, your grace I do now so miss.
You, you are the reason I became me.
You brought love's truth, the brightest light to me.
My love, my dear love, I cry here alone
My love, with my healed heart I have grown
My darling how your hope set me aright
My darling, your image sustains my night
My dear, I long for your angelic sight
My dear, you came vanquished this world's blight
My lover, your beautiful face I see
My lover, you were, are the best in me.
You, you are the reason I became me.
You brought love's truth, the brightest light to me.

Dare I Compose, This Heartfelt Poem For Thee
Dare I reveal, dare to my soul expose
No longer hide behind life's hidden pose
Return to Southern roots, a simple man
Forget this dark world's constant wicked plans
Remember her, life's most beautiful rose
She the sweet goddess, that this poor man chose.
Dare I compose, this heartfelt poem for thee
Pray to Heaven to one day again see
Together walk those streets paved in gold
Hold each other always, never grow old
Wake each dawn, with Heaven 's love all around
With you darling, forever by my side
In divine paradise wading love's tide.
Dare I ink the words, darling I love you
Just to hear you say, yes, I love you too
Return to Southern roots, a simple man
Forget this dark world's constant wicked plans.

As Length'ning Shadows, Filter Thru These Aching Hours
As length'ning shadows, filter thru these aching hours
Seeing flowers bloom, I lower both sword and shield
Yet in the black-distance still loom angry towers
For this world its angry powers refuse to yield
Dare I, beg this cursed world for a peaceful sign
As if this moment, Karma and golden moon align
Nay! To do such, what a great knave fool would be I
For Karma rang no bell and day holds no moon sky!
Standing alone, this soul seeks happiness again
As a wasted form, worn down by epic grief
Here walking through life, with overloads of pain
Crying out and at moment devoid of belief
Dare I, in such a state, again raise this sharp sword
Wade into battlefield, a brave soldier to be
Cutting and slashing the dark-cast and evil hordes
Tho' knowing, more will arise from a hellish sea?
Here wherein twilight shades are forever falling
And darkness its turmoil dances into my head
I cannot help but hear heartache and loss calling
Do I, do I thus choose to run away instead
Dare I, fail my raising, deny my Southern roots
Speed ever onward past grief, fears and bitter years
Absorb the poison arrows the enemy shoots
As they whizz on through this volley of falling tears?
Here wherein twilight shades are forever falling.
I cannot help but hear heartache and loss calling.

I Saw The Great And Mighty Wave
I saw the great and mighty wave
As it came,
The emerald glistening of its heart,
A chasing spasm under blue-lit sky
Dawn's glow gave a twinkling start
And in the mist doubt flew right on by!
I saw the great and mighty wave
As it came,
The revealing of a newborn fawn,
A mystery in Nature's golden sphere
O' what glory rises in each new dawn
And we mortals walk blinded in our fears!
I saw the great and mighty wave
As it came,
The power of this world's dark abyss,
A dream that withers on the vine
Beauty in a rose, in a warm kiss
Sweet honey, love, love on which to dine!
I saw the great and mighty wave
As it came,
The emerald glistening of its heart,
A chasing spasm under blue-lit sky
Dawn's glow gave a twinkling start
And in the mist doubt flew right on by!

Two gifted creations, born from dreams that were sent
and both gave a measure of blessed hope….
(1.)
He Bled, For Life's Gleaming, Golden Treasures Now Forever Lost
He tread each new dawn, trepidation dancing right along
Where once was true valor and cast ink, now but saddest song
Yet in willowing air, that force followed with its power
Ever ready to counter, defend and knock down darken towers
Instinctively he knew, but the enemy knew that as well
Redoubled its attacks, making life again a living hell.
He read verse gifted by poets, those of such immense fame
Seen again, world is oft but a dungeon-life, but a cruel game
Yet in heart of heart, in depths of soul, his spirit cried
For waving Spring flowers, so mourned when Autumn dried
Am I, to be a fallen warrior- a sad vanishing ghost
Cast into ancient valley, to be its most reluctant host?
He bled, for life's gleaming, golden treasures now forever lost
That of innocent youth, life its heaving suffering costs
And what of that lifelong faith that somehow justice prevails
Those moonlit dreams, her love and its glory that never fails
Was it, was it - just vapor born from a disappearing dream
Or one of this wicked world's accursed and polluted streams?
And in that daze, that confused state- he unabashedly wept.
To himself thought- was he warrior-that from early grave crept?

From A Great Distance, Love's Powerful Echo Calls
From a great distance, love's powerful echo calls
Whilst in this murky mist, a massive old tree falls
Within a forest fortress that once therein held
A love universe, tragically now felled
As love remembers, an angel that softly swore
Gave all, thus setting two souls on paradise shores.
From a great distance, love's powerful voice sings
Whilst the shattered heart and love shall always bring
Treasured memories of life, love and much more
That may temporarily repair hole, death has tore
Into love's bliss that sent to souls to beg for more.
From a great distance, love's powerful hand yields
Whilst Fate cries out no more, no more flowering fields
Yet within that somber thought, hope cries- please believe
Time heals and will conquer those fears that so deceive
A man, a lost soul- one lost within that abyss
A warrior, there dying- longing for one last kiss.
From a great distance, love's powerful echo calls
Whilst in this murky mist, a massive old tree falls
Within a forest fortress that once therein held
A love universe, tragically now felled
As love remembers, an angel that softly swore
Gave all, thus setting us both on paradise shores.

To some, writing is a bounty within an aching heart
with power to help, to begin to heal and therein
a blessing expressed in poetry- a light that has for
centuries shown mankind is far more than the savage
beast that he far too oft under this dark world's spell
treads upon paths of darkness and so blindly forgets
that hope, faith and love are shields that may bring
saving light to a broken and massively shattered soul.

Verse, As If Born From The Darkened Pen Of Poe
In the half-shadows, through low misty light
Lay perils of dark thought - born of late night
Echoes, distant whispers and so much more
Awaiting slumber, dreams to next explore
Such as fly forth with great terroristic glee
As if huge beasts wading from poison sea.
In the half-shadows, through dark surging rays
One finds fear, born of night not sunny day
Phantoms dancing to heart and soul invade
Ghastly, ravaging army on parade
Terror and angst- only mortals can conjure
All from blacken abyss- sent to injure.
In the half shadows, where pain is dark-seed
Always splattered red, as innocence bleeds
Wherein fear and doubt each quarrel to reign
Within castle walls, splashed with fresh stains
O' the pity, for hope is held at bay
For the show is always a bloody play.
In the half shadows, where soul is laid low
Are horrid fears, swirling about to grow
Winds and views - as if poet Poe had wrote
Ancient castles, ghosts, snake infested moats
Lands that terror flows and mortals await
World's evil touch, deep slashing hands of Fate.
In the half-shadows, through low misty light
Lay perils of dark thought - born of late night
Echoes, distant whispers and so much more
Awaiting slumber, dreams to next explore
Such as fly forth with great terroristic glee
As if huge beasts wading from poison sea.

Again, Her In These Waiting Arms
That night, came a flight to the moon
Grand and certainly not too soon
The winds softly blowing from Mars
Majestic rays from twinkling stars
All around love was on parade
Left behind revolving charades
The shackles of a world gone mad
Landing on a new starship pad
Love had flowered month of June
Heavenly night sang right in tune.
Night, brought a beautiful reprieve
A lonely Adam found his Eve
Amidst star-beams, glittering sky
Such treasure no man could deny
She a true angel, sent to save
All in life, I would ever crave
Such blessing, a memory grand
Good-bye, I said- to earthen land.
What more could universe me give
Than to forever with her live
Enjoy the loving of her smile
The sweet of her colorful style
Yet Time its old clock had started
Its path, sorrow came- we parted
Now I tear up seeing night sky
Remember saddest of good-byes.
Yet now hope cites a future date
And love has demanded of Fate
To dare to universe' arm twist
Bring her back in a nightdream mist
Again, her in these waiting arms
Love's beauty, her smoldering charms
Joyful tears I cry on such nights
For Love gifts, most precious delights
That night, came a flight to the moon
Grand and certainly not too soon.

Refusing Diligence, To Do Even Basic Math
Why do we too oft blindly walk a deep, darken path
Through the volleys of arrows shot by Fate's mighty wrath
When in this wicked world, we could accept light's reprieve
By opening both heart and eyes to truth thus perceive
That darkness rests within our souls, all flesh is the same
That glaring fact, ensuing battles are no mere game.
Why do we too oft blindly walk a deep, darken path
Refusing diligence to do even basic math
When from within, we feel those hard-fought battles raging
It is a war and true enemies we are engaging
Thus 'tis folly to not recognize that fierce-some foe
And find, accepting evil allow darkness to grow.
Why this glaring reality do we too oft deny,
If not in our souls, darkness hides waiting to Light defy?

Let Dawn Its Sweet Embrace, Fit Me Like A Warm Glove
When heart has been shattered and hope flown away
All embers have died, saddened world turned grey
Cold is the torturous night, pallid the long day
Comes a fleeting moment, when soul cries out to say.
O' heaven, send much needed relief from above
Let dawn its sweet embrace, fit me like a warm glove
Heart strives to remember, remembers soft touch of love!
When spirit has been broken, life sees only black
Weeping soul asks, sincere prayer, please give her back
O' lord, please gift me courage, courage I now lack!
When heart has been shattered and hope flown away
All embers have died, saddened world turned grey

And Remember Me In This New Heavenly Flight
Last night, I saw her dancing in the Milky Way.
Her singing, while walking along Montego Bay.
And when seeing me her voice gave a low quiver
Hers tears sent a sadness, I began to shiver
Her heart next sung, dearest darling you are my all
We have our treasures, that with love we both recall
I am with you all the way
you'll come to me someday.
My sweetheart, let our eternal love hold you up
Dearest, this love-sent kiss comes from my loving cup
I know your crying heartbreak, please hold me tonight
And remember me in this new Heavenly flight.
I am with you all the way
you'll come to me someday.

There Beyond The Purple Veil, I Hear Her Calling
As sorrowing winds blow, darkness begins falling
There beyond the purple veil, I hear her calling
For the smell of the hillside, the flowers gifting
Nature's streaming beauty, life that’s so uplifting
Yet here I sit, quite desperate and so alone
Wandering this darkness, how must I now atone.
My heart wants relief, but the shadows are playing.
Again I kneel down and sincerely start praying.
Again this sad aching soul, its path looks ahead
Recall my youth, fairy tale promises I was fed
But mind and intelligence defeats not the dark
I am now an ancient tree stripped of its bark
Yet here I sit, quite desperate and so alone
Wandering this darkness, how must I now atone.
My heart wants relief, but the shadows are playing.
Again I kneel down and sincerely start praying.
My true love looks on just behind the purple veil
Body exist here in pain, just a sadden shell
Agony and weeping are my companions
As I struggle here in torturous dark canyons
Yet here I sit, quite desperate and so alone
Wandering this darkness, how must I now atone.
My heart wants relief, but the shadows are playing.
Again I kneel down and sincerely start praying.

Life Now Cries Out, This Truth, There Is No Holy Grail
I stab the stone wall, all to no avail
Life now cries out there is no Holy Grail
World has it right, all must walk their path blind
Weak, we think we are body, soul and mind
But reality points to that other thing
True love that its bountiful joy can bring
A soulmate, an angel to hold and love
In that truth, we can see Heaven above.
I attack that monster, that state of death.
Doing so with my all, with my last breath.
