My three, Bliss Carman- dedication poems.

I composed first two last week and the third

    poem, very early this morn.

New Dawn, Blessed Gems With Love So Gifted

From morning glow, into soft basking day,

Sacred the time, in life and love we pray,

We converse, we laugh, and hope we embrace-

Fallen man, rectified by God's pure grace.

For divine light that gifts its tender glows,

Healing us from our pains, sorrows and woes,

Upon earth and we mortals so in need

Of saving balm as in darkness we bleed.

    Evidenced by Nature's constant gifts

Words heavenly sent that our souls uplift

We so blessed, can thank our living God

As upon this our earth, we daily trod.

    Robert J. Lindley, 8-21-2021

Cumque esset mane, meridiem haec anima et haec leniter demulcens blanditiis

Beauty Of Sunset And A Life With Love

Behold! Dawn with its ravishing beauty

Life must be more than a slavish duty

From golden shores unto whispering hills

Let love enter, until treasures it spills

    Understand precious touch of womankind

For upon earth - that is the gold we find.

Accept all we have and our daily bread

With love's bounty one is truly well fed

Wake unto morning's new resplendent calls

One is blessed without great golden walls.

Walk with Nature unto its forest crown

Flee a spell away from idle town

See and feel the wonders of God's own hands

As life's beauty gifts its most wondrous strands.

    Robert J. Lindley, 8-21-2021

In medio annorum vivifica me dulcis rufus occasum

Love Exists As Notes From A Warbler's Throat

Love exists as notes from a warbler's throat

On life's fleeting winds truth so gaily floats

Over mountains steep and sweet meadows below

Bringing along heart's beauty in its tow

Salvation comes with prayer's truest breath

Conquering woes and even mortal death.

Earth has awaken since first dawning of Man.

Grinning, dancing, spinning- as only it can.

Life and Nature need not fight as they do

    Certain harmony is long overdue

Love cries out life must find a better way

Than sad darkness, with its shadowy grays.

Earth has awaken since first dawning of Man.

Grinning, dancing, spinning- as only it can.

Love exists as notes from a warbler's throat

On life's fleeting winds truth so gaily floats

Over mountains steep and sweet meadows below

Bringing along heart's beauty in its tow.

I Swear A Sincere Oath Each Arriving New Morn

Amidst wreckage and sorrows dwelling deep
I fight to beautiful memories keep
To break dark that threatens to engulf me
So oft swamped by storms from crashing seas
I a floating leaf in massive expanse
Lonely and bereft of heart's true romance.

I walk beneath wondrous beaming blue skies.
Ever seeking that which time now denies.

I swear sincere oath each arriving morn
To thus battle, to mend this life so torn
Not as a warrior to brave or too proud
Or a timid soul hiding in the crowd
But instead as a hopeful refugee
One so desperate and too mad to flee.

I walk beneath wondrous beaming blue skies.
Ever seeking that which time now denies.

Once eager heart beat in me and much more
Long ago, I strolled sweet white sand shores
Singing with light and dancing in fine tune
Under summer sun in the month of June
Watching rolling waves and that deep blue sea
As a young lad, not this old refugee.

New Life Given And Glows Of A Golden Crown

A pity, stark indifference and sad
Paths taken into that darkness and woe
It is not that world and all life is bad
As willful blindness we let evil grow
In course of that we build a blacken room
Mold iron shutters to deny the light
Glorify our dancing in that black tomb
And learn to love evil that parades at night!

Yet if eyes are opened we can see
Just how deeply we into darkness fell
Fathomless horror found we seek to flee
Away from those blinding gates of Hell
Realization wakes to light's sweet breath
Salvation leading to a clear road seen
Away from eager hands of fated death
And former life that was truly obscene!

Rising to dawn's glow and a golden crown
We again find life and love's blessed touch
Walking from our former shallow renown
We may again paint with a joyous brush!

Memories Of The Long Sad Journey

Bitter cold that Saturday morning, I could see my breath parade before me.
No breakfast as I had quietly left the house and started my trek back to our old home.
Memories flooded my brain with each new turn along that dusty road.
Along with questions about why I was now so rebellious.

Quicker, walk quicker my heart and soul demanded. Do you not want to touch the
bedroom door where your father slept? Slept before that long dark sleep.
Slept in such pain and sorrow?
Yes, bellowed back my invisible friend.

    frosty morning dew
    loose pebbles crunched beneath feet
    earth, morning sky paled

Halfway there, with my heart racing and anticipation heightened
I could almost imagine a real touch. A real touch of he- now lost to all eternity!
What wild thoughts come to a teenage soul and mind in its greatest of pains and sorrows.
Can death be denied? Can one bring back even for the briefest moment a loved one..
    A father, a father!

    blackbirds silent view...
    wrapped in winter's sheen
    light ahead, welcomed beacon

Walking up the short drive and onto the front porch. Only gone away half a year and such change found!
Silence, silence engulfed my thoughts. Struck numb as I entered our vacated home.
Home were my father had exhaled his last breath. Hand shaking as I reach for that doorknob..
What would I see? His ghost? Would I dare touch his ghost?
Walked into a cold and lonely room--nothing!
No smile, no hug, no long awaited touch!
Only tears, tears by the bucketful.
What had I come to find? Was I crazy to want to see, talk, touch one more time?

    one old shoe, lonely
    broken window, dusty mounds
    bleak abandoned walls

I knew, knew this was it. Life gave no overs and no going back to happier times.
The terror of that reality, would it ever leave. Would it?
Father was dead and my life was over.
I walked out into this dark world ready to fight.
Fighting to be left alone, with my never ending sorrow and its sweet cuts....
Cuts embraced to keep my rage, to yet again feel,
defeat the icy numbness in a rebellious teenager's aching heart.

Just something I doodled over Breakfast

Tragic, When Innocence Was Lost And Love Fled
(Youth, Dreams And Reality Series) number 1

Like lake June swans once so were she and I
    Passionate romance money cannot buy
Coupled and in heart's fervor we stood
Giving into our fever all we could
She the flighted arrow, I the strong bow
In our innocent youth fearing no blows
Living love's bounty, dreaming wondrous dreams
In sweet blindness, not seeing world's black schemes.

O' deepest sorrows why were you thus cast
Allowing joy to fade away so fast
Had we not with truest hearts in love fled
Together, spirit and soul therein wed
Watching beauty of night's heavenly skies
World's evils we gave no thought or replies
Living love's bounty, dreaming wondrous dreams
In sweet blindness, not seeing world's black schemes.

How I now so grieve that ill-fated day
In my epic misery bow to pray
For sweet mercy and yet another shot
To live forever in our moonlit spot
Swearing to always refuse any goodbye
    Such dark reality firmly deny
Living love's bounty, dreaming wondrous dreams
In sweet blindness, not seeing world's black schemes.

Like lake June swans once so were she and I
    Passionate romance money cannot buy
Coupled and in heart's fervor we stood
Giving into our fever all we could
She the flighted arrow, I the strong bow
In our innocent youth fearing no blows

Beauty waltzed in on my diamond dreams
While I a young lad wading rushing streams
There bright roses and lush gardens in bloom
Bringing me back from the darkness and gloom
How oft we wonder why happiness flees
Despite our prayers, our sincerest pleas
Yet tomorrow always comes, life moves on
Where we find beauty in a simple stone.

I wake from dreams and eager dawn I beg
Give me back love and my young dancing legs
For in this tired ole spirit hope still shines
I see Nature's beauty smell scented pines
Walk the ancient trails and rest a bit
Thank God my bloodline gives me heart and grit
Oft I wonder who now walks these old shoes
As lonely builds its walls and sings its blues.

Sun sets a glowing red, life welcomes soft night
Such a soulful peace allows no dark fright
In youth I found that time was not a friend
For took away joy as happy days end
And some nights radiant moon its rays hid
Reminding, fairy tales are just for kids
In those somber thoughts, her dear face appears
And then in waiting heart love romance sears.

Beauty waltzed in on my diamond dreams
While I a young lad wading rushing streams
There bright roses and lush gardens in bloom

And In Rhapsody And Colors Life Flows

There in dear morning's soft glistening rays
White beach sand squishing between eager toes
Magical humming as waves blue sky sways
And in rhapsody and colors life flows
    About, beyond, into eternity
I see an ant, its miracle divine
    Endless waves splash into infinity
Dare I ever try to my soul define?

Do we see truth in blessing of sunlight?
Or dark in our desire to always fight?

Through scenic beauty and heart's tender beats
I sift sweet flavors of salt laced air
Graving far more than life's woes to defeat
I marvel at the birds flying in pairs
What do they think of dangerous mankind
Can they know we are lost seeking our way
Amongst trash we so often leave behind
    Racing ever onward without delay?

Do we see truth in blessing of sunlight?
Or dark in our desire to always fight?

I walk in a soft daze wondering why
Life to us seems a magnificent mystery
We think foolishly to our flaws deny
    When evidence emits from history
Then a fine gem appears, a strange seashell
    Its radiance singing a lullaby
    Immediately comes a wondrous spell
Saying, "your life exists to heaven fly".

Do we see truth in blessing of sunlight?
Or dark in our desire to always fight?

There in dear morning's soft glistening rays
White beach sand squishing between eager toes
Magical humming as waves blue sky sways
And in rhapsody and colors life flows.

    Old Note-
I hope so deeply that life stops being so damn hard
In my dreams it promises such wondrously sweet rewards.

    New Note-
Even now with rhapsody and colors fading
Life cries out, live and love- we are still grading.

From Poetic Thoughts On Mankind And Its Accursed Fate

Hark! Grasp firm precious golden ray of moonlight
Wrap in heart's grip, let seep into awaiting dreams
Release it next dreadful, hellish-cast storming night
To delight in its saliently flowing bright streams.

With fervent prayers, bid high Heavens to cast down
Manna and wine to the feast-born unwashed masses
Without need for a foolish king and crushing crown
Or enslavement and wars from rebellious classes.

Flesh and blood are wont to beg unto shining skies
Filled with grieving's of broken souls and lost hope
Surrounded by dark world and deep burgeoning lies,
Ever present rock strewn dangers of its pitted slopes.

Alas! Tis it not true, chains of our mortal curse
Groom enticing pathways for us to do our worse?

Dare we this proclivity to set asunder
And thus, into redeeming light far further wander?

That Reality Of Sorrows, That Life May One Day Bring

In twain asunder, darkness broke within
life became a sardonic little grin,
gone were those far happier summer days
my princess and her soft heavenly ways
with sweet-felt Spring glows, her beautiful smiles-
her dancing moves, in her elegant style
nevermore radiance that heart so stirs
now only gashes cut by Fated spurs.

In twain asunder, darkness broke within.
Life became a sardonic little grin.

And future hope into ashes turned
all of our dreams ravaged and spurned,
no more dreaming, thinking life to be sure
deep sorrows born from what was truly pure
this the handiwork and death's coming blows
as midnight shrieking of ravenous crows
O' can one such horror ever deny
when such dark-cast rains falls from wicked sky?

In twain asunder, darkness broke within.
Life became a sardonic little grin.

When Deep Darkness And Shadows Race To Fore

Heartache is oft an invisible cut
Within the silent and deadly new field
Black boulders bring amidst deepening ruts,
Calamity, which oft one finds no shield.

Flung from sticky webs of hideous dark
Into the depths of an innocent soul
Unrelenting, to make a galling mark,
Its newborn despair taking wicked toll.

What to do to stop such dark woe-some flow
Destroying past happiness with its veil
Injecting agony as a new show,
Whilst poor soul often slides past gates of hell.

Dawn's welcoming sun is no longer seen
Nor those bright golden beams that heart so cheer
As despair casts forth its shadowy sheen,
Lost hope, becomes sad shades of looming fear.

From A Sad Book, A Poet's Deep, Heartfelt Lament

Fear I, morn brings not glistening of dew
That in youth's vanished seeds of demise
Wisps of shadows in dark meadows grew
    Midnight sent forth melancholy surprise.

Alas, soft wings of hope fled far away
As falling leaves of silence too soon roar
I cannot defeat intense coming grays
In dying dreams, I land not on new shores.

I sing song of a dear paradise lost
Radiant life with love and abundant
To see yet again glowing gems of frost
O' mercy Lord, a sweeter life please grant.

With falling leaves of silence's epic roar,
In dying dreams, I land not on new shores.
