    Notes;

    1. *Olympic gods*

The standard 12 Olympian gods are:

    Zeus
    Hera
    Athena
    Apollo
    Poseidon
    Ares
    Artemis
    Demeter
    Aphrodite
    Dionysos
    Hermes
    Hephaistos
The Greeks did not always agree on the 12
and some lists include Hestia, Hercules
or Leto, with Dionysos often the one replaced.

    2. *Poseidon

In later Greek mythology, Poseidon was the son
of Kronos and Rhea, and brother of Zeus and Hades.
He was a key figure in the battles for control
of the universe between the Titans, the Giants,
and the Olympians. On their victory, the three
brothers drew lots to decide which domain they
would reign over, and Poseidon gained the seas.
The god dwelled in magnificent golden mansions
beneath the sea, beautifully adorned with coral
and sea flowers. Traditionally, this undersea palace,
which included the god’s stables of fine white
horses, was located near Aegae in Euboea. Seemingly
not content with the seas alone, Poseidon often
interfered in the plans of Zeus, and once even
attempted to overthrow his brother with the aid
of Hera and Athena. It was as punishment for this
treachery that Poseidon was made to build the
    magnificent walls of Troy.

    3. * Athena

Goddess of wisdom, war and the crafts, and
favourite daughter of Zeus, Athena was, perhaps,
the wisest, most courageous, and certainly the
most resourceful of the Olympian gods.

Zeus was told that his son would take his throne
from him, just as he had taken power from his
father Cronus. Accordingly, when Metis was pregnant,
he swallowed her and Athena was born from Zeus’ head,
wearing armour and fully grown. A popular theme in
ancient Greek art, Hephaistos is often depicted in
the role of midwife, splitting Zeus’ head with an axe.

Epithets of Athena include Pallas (girl) and
Parthenos (virgin), living up to which, she is
conspicuous amongst the gods of Greek mythology for
not indulging in illicit relationships with other
divinities, demigods, or mortals. Other epithets
were Promachos (of war) - perhaps referring to more
patriotic, defensive, and strategic warfare, rather
than attacking warfare, in contrast to her more
    aggressive, conflict-loving brother Ares, Ergane
(of the crafts), and Nike (victory).

Wherein Man's Dark Curse, Felled The Olympic Gods',
    Part One

    (I.)

Thus to blindness, the fallen god was blindly bound
In a blacken tragedy, doomed to darken earth:
Nature then refused to its soothing music sound
That of existence, death of its infinite worth
No great power to approach with pitiless pleas
As those of mortal flesh, immense creative fight
Rule all, even unto the depths of Neptune's seas
Olympus crushed by the weight of marvelous might!
Lo! Such powers in magnificent hopes and dreams
    Passions that, evoke creativity's towers
The malevolence of thought brought destructive schemes
Time cast infinite blades to end the gods' powers
To be the last Olympic god to break and fall
In ever-growing shame, of all that was thus lost
Cast to this earthen realm- so pitifully small
To slumber deep, waking only to hoary frost!
Naked, cold, arms and armor were taken away
Silence and apathy both as sad, newfound friends
Newfound tribulations born each and every day
Discovering accursed void, that final end
He the last olden god, first felt dooming decay
That which was created an inferior toy
Stole light and thunder in some mysterious way
Becoming monolith, hellbent to all destroy!

Time remains invincible, its powers supreme.
Combined with Fate as an unconquerable team.

    (II.)

Within invisible winds the old god cursed
Fate and its delight in a wrathful new pursuit
Had not even the gods its vanities nursed
Feeding it, tho' their immense powers it dilutes
O the deep heartbreak, that even the gods can ere
By accepting the golden crown gifted by Fate
Admitting the magnificent beauty of her
While failing to realize, such a fatal date!
Had not even Cronus once bowed to epic might
All the lesser gods submitted unto his will
And he that molded beauty of Athena's sight
He upon the earth, set man's life to overspill
Was not such wisdom and gifts deserving of more
Then his current sad and miserable plight
Of being cast down upon these cold earthen shores
While humanity revels in its future bright!
Nay! Such that justice must move forward to forbid
These machinations granting man immense powers
The horror Fate had from the olden gods this hid
Future curse of seeding mankind its dark towers
He knelt, asking the universe to now be kind
Reminding Time and Fate of his many good deeds
That of casting beauty into man's puny mind
And therein setting the birth of romantic seeds!

Time remains invincible, its powers supreme.
Combined with Fate as an unconquerable team.

    Poem Doubles, Part One

The Gift, The Girl, The Sweetest Love

In our love paradise, a bit of heaven sings
"Within gasping echoes born as soft luted springs,"
As Nicean melodies carried by heart's true dance
    From dawn-like sweeping dreams of sensual romance;
A symphony, majestic in June's grand parade
Sailing upon angel wings, an opera played,
Ecstasies of nights, fervor cast from melded souls
Much as winds through flowering meadows softly roll.

In our loving-born vows, treasures sent from our bliss
" Life as sweet as each golden-honey dripping kiss,"
Triumphant over past agonies as truth heals
    Wounds of youth and that which Fate far too often steals;
Glory was found on paths that we as lovers trod
With your lips glowing as red as rose-covered sod,
Morn's new chimes, waking to your warm body embrace
Heart recalling your ravishing beautiful face.

The Greatest Art, The Pen, The Love

I that fell in love with the poet's brush
felt but a small bit of Heaven's sweet touch,
    absorbed a measure of serenity,
    found a welcomed glimpse at eternity;
such as was gifted by great poets of old
masters inking their verse sweet, strong, and bold
as harvesters of thoughts true and sublime
dedicated words to give throughout time.

I sought to bow to and follow their path
besiege this dark world battle its dark wrath
wake to dawn's soft-breath, its radiant glows,
    stand firm against raging storms darkness blows;
affirm a man's right not fear dread of night
nor cower at evil's hideous sight
instead, speak and act with truth in accord
and with stalwart courage fight devil's horde.

I that fell in love with the poet's brush
felt but a small bit of Heaven's sweet touch,
    absorbed a measure of serenity,
    found a welcomed glimpse at eternity;
such as was bequeathed us, by poets of old
masters inking their verse sweet, strong, and bold
those that gave of such tender hearts and souls
gifting to fill life's immense golden bowls.

    Robert J. Lindley, Part One
    6-17-2019, 9-09-2019,10-31-2020.
(In Tribute to Keats, Shelley, and Byron,
    finally, first half completed)
This is Part Two, completed 11-06-2020.

    Note:
My son suggested that I write more, that I compose the aftermath after the fallen god fled. And bring it all into the present day - with the earth -this world, and its continued slide into destruction, darkness, and apathy. That is not a bad idea and surprised me that a 13-year-old kid saw that possibility. I gave
him no answer because my life now is in such a state as I am unsure if I have the time and the needed ability/inspiration to tackle such a project. I am sad that with his keen mind he has chosen not
to write poetry. Instead of spending his free time playing video games.
Wherein Man's Dark Curse, Felled The Olympic Gods',
    Part Two

    (III.)

Alas! Cold silence, the depths of darkening wrath
Came to invade the fallen god's newborn nightmare
Waking to find agony and his earthen path
Twas his penalty for flouting Fate without care
Standing upon mountains created by his words
The vanquished God in disgust looked at earth's sad plight
Its wickedness, the apathy of its vast herds
As he saw, "only savage darkness comes from might"!
In newfound revelation, deep regret set in
Time laughed at his great folly and his sad dismay
He now saw his mistake giving power to men
Gifting Fate its method to increase its decay
Blinded to his ever-faithful enemy Time
    Its unification with Fate, invincible
Alas! Was his epic blindness his greatest crime
From the Hidden had then burst the invisible!
Wisdom and sight had arrived but both were too late
All were mysterious acts of the great Unknown
He had never thought Time would find its true soulmate
With Fate unite to infect earth, all he had grown
As years of isolation sapped his god-powers
And far greater man's belligerence contempt grew
Upon earth, mankind built its dark massive towers
With ever greater wrecking its treasures accrue!

Time remains invincible, its powers supreme.
Combined with Fate as an unconquerable team.

    (IV.)

Looking back the fallen god finally shed tears
Not for his coming demise but for what was lost
How the universe now suddenly switched its gears
And in its wake, the olden gods had paid the costs
In crying loneliness, he saw earth's newest scenes
How these mortals his paradise sought to destroy
As they with pride strut around with a peacock's preen
And dare to slash his garden as if a mere toy!
That night the old god sought out the deepest abyss
Determined to flee, to never look back at all
In dying sorrows, swearing man to never miss
Cursing fervently mankind, its arrogant gall
As morn's bright sun its radiant rays cast anew
The last fallen god imagined a place of dark
For Time and Fate had both given their sweet adieu
Sealing that trek upon which he must now embark!
Earth was teeming, dark days basking in man's decrees
Paying no heed to the last fallen god's leaving
Mankind was too busy poisoning earth, and seas
To stop its lustful greed to ever start grieving
O the horror as the fallen god did look back
To find that the mortals were warring yet again
With its cuts, slashing, ripping, and great deceiving
Splash what was beautiful with its hideous stains!

Time remains invincible, its powers supreme.
Combined with Fate as an unconquerable team.

Dreams That Only The Shadow And I Know

He walked with me in innocent youth
He but a rascal, a mere shade of truth
Yet whether brighter morn or dark of night
He knew, my aspirations, oft my plight
Never were his elegant moves random
We seemed to dance about in tandem
Yet as much as I saw I never knew
If we but one or if we were but two.

That dawn we walked the woods to enjoy
He but a shadow, I but a mere boy
Yes, between us was a most solemn bond
We were of each other so very fond
Lately his gate was uneasy and slow
Yet still he went wherever I would go
That night, I woke seeing him slip away
I cried out, come on back please, please stay.

Dawn came and the invisible space came
It arrived in silence, played no game
Too oft it invaded my searching heart
Somehow easily tore my soul apart
I bowed and begged for a reprieve
Because the silence set echoes to deceive
Now a man, my shadow friend I so miss
When at night I hear eerie silence hiss.

He walked with me in innocent youth
He but a rascal, a mere shade of truth
Yet whether brighter morn or dark of night
He knew, my aspirations, oft my plight
Never were his elegant moves random
We seemed to dance about in tandem
Yet as such as I saw, I never knew
If we but one or if we were but two.

    Old Note: 6/17/1973
What was thus lost cannot be captured again.
Life is funny that way. It gives and it takes.
Sadly what was most precious it seems to take
with a certain kind of morbid glee.

    New Note: 12-13-2020
What was lost will never ever return
Oft enlightenment I desire to spurn
Once in youth- shadow was a dear, true friend
Its absence I can no longer pretend.

Add- Decided to bring this old one out
To see the light of day. To walk down memory lane
I was then in 1973 into my 19th year on this old blue marble…
And I remember that innocence was the shield
That fled away far too soon……

Beyond The Storming Seas Unto The Paradise Of Poetry
    Part One- Ancient Poem Doubles.

Beyond The Storming Seas Unto The Paradise Of Poetry

What wailing- from the frosty-whistling moon and thin air-
That bestirs dying heart within the poet's seeking breast
Echoing across fertile plains unto silence's stolen lair
A druid chant, a wolf howling, a lone sparrow finding rest?

What dancing- across mellow meadows of glistening dew
Grace and flying with eagles, weaving a golden tapestry-
Ancient its rhythm, bold in its magnificent depths so true
A poet soft-tilling verses unto sweetest desired mastery!

What dreaming- life, love and shine of the golden fleece
Youthful wonderment of brave heroes and fairytales
Wisdom from the ages- Gods of the splendor of Greece
Ships, Seafoam, Moby-Dick, and may God save the whales!

What inspiration- hidden paths weaving into the naked heart-
Love and nights lava-hot with ecstasy so intensely sublime
Romanticism that love's depths so sweetly and deeply impart
Although we are always prisoners of the blacken-curse of Time!

What wailing- from the frosty-whistling moon and thin air-
That bestirs dying heart within the poet's seeking breast
Echoing across fertile plains unto silence's stolen lair
A druid chant, a wolf howling, a lone sparrow finding rest?

Behind Prudent Judgement, Rests A Stout Shield

The heart rooted into love's deepest well
The sea bragging of its emerald green,
Dawn and silver dew dance to glowing preen
    Love's beauty, a red rose-its sweetest smell.

And yet one must true see, remain alert
For life oft be a dark gauntlet of dark
Wondrous sea tis swelled with hungry sharks
And this dark world promises many hurts.

Be aware that a starving wolf yet prowls
Its fangs eager to sink into hot-bloodied meat
Tis hidden monster the innocent meet
If ignoring warnings of the hoot owl!

Behind prudent judgement, rests a stout shield
For love can sometimes be a fatal trap
Life is not all rosy- oft it is crap
One should live life with faith and never yield!

As The Burnt Sun Eases Into The Night
Part Two of Ancient Doubles Poem

    Poem Doubles
    (3.)
As The Burnt Sun Eases Into The Night

From these tranquil hills, let this soul lay bare,
the dew-laced meadows so proudly sing,
Youth must in its wildest-set-searching play fair
For love and life thrives without the gold ring,

As the red-burnt sun eases into night
darkness comes, grows to be its fearsome mass
Therein flows the beauty of dazzling lights
Into the skies the sweeping heavens pass

This hopeful heart kneels to give sincere thanks
for the bread of life and treasure of love
As the river runs caressing its banks
Nature stands proud smiling at God above.

Life Is All About Living, Not Its End

All that night the moon whispered to me
you are born of this world, a weaken flesh
Life is treasure sought -its gems are not free
dream of angels singing and awake fresh

Stir gently the flames burning in your heart
walk a path of which your soul will be proud
Gift the poor old horse, with a lighter cart
sing of love's sweet melody, sing it loud

Welcome dawn's rays as a dear faithful friend
accept its warmth as the earth accepts rain
Life is all about living- not its end
what matters is not the wealth one attains.

Love Weighs Souls, Says Both Hearts And God Above

They say that the human soul has no weight
They that have not felt heavy hand of fate
Shouting man is born but a fleshly shell
And there is no heaven, there is no Hell
The soul once broken sets a heavy load
As many a crushed heart has showed
We are more than what we see- skin and bones
More than our chatter on our telephones!
Soul in mourning bears the weight of the world
Crushed by weight of boulders Fate hurled
Within man rests that which cannot be seen
Infinite depths not shown on any screen
An invisible link- soul, heart and mind
A unique force- a most passionate kind
A seed sprouting in the soul to emerge
That which becomes a very human urge!

Look at life, the in-between set by Fate
Soul connection, that lovers can relate
Far more than a mere desire or a spell
A power thus born- oft nothing can quell
Yes, the invisible soul does have weight
Its great power is it can alter Fate
I should know that well, it did so with mine
Freed both hearts, gave us love on which to dine
Proof is in the pudding, or so they say
We both have sworn love until our dying day
As dawn's breath each golden beam brings anew
That dearest paradise found by we two
I thank God and willing soul when I pray
With the sincerest words a man can say
For that blessing of life and her sweet love
Love weighs souls, says our hearts and God above.

Thus Born, A Light, A Blessing Of Inspiration

And he from the mountaintop knelt to shout
    To the magnificent creatures below
As if pouring Life-water from a spout
He in his sorrows cried in the snow,
O' God have this, thine sweet mercy on me
He that in his youth walked dead and blind
For now thy light hath set him free
Sending life, love, hope - clarity of mind.

Wherein truth and light are sent to prevail.
Those once chained- no longer need fear Hell.

Once a beast seeking dark ravenous meals
He that savored bad, the forbidden
Caring not for love, or how others feel
Built he walls to keep his sorrows hidden,
Allowing darkness all his joy to steal
Traversing twixt pale light and black of night
Ignoring those evil wounds love could heal
Never seeing the path cast by true light.

Wherein truth and light are sent to prevail.
Those once chained- no longer need fear Hell.

From the highest heavens, a voice then came
Sounding in true harmony and soft glee
I am the giver, creator- hear my name
Tis I that now speaks to the soul in thee,
Rise thee from that whitecapped mountain peak
Live again amongst life and mortal men
Accept these words, live not so lost and weak
Give due praise and thus walk thee true again.

Wherein truth and light are sent to prevail.
Those once chained- no longer need fear Hell.

Rising as the Sun its golden rays cast
He obeyed, starting his life anew
Knowing divine sent redemption must last
He praised life and the bright sky so blue,
With blessings of God and eternal light
Love entered his soul, his heart awoke
What was once such an impossible fight
Then became merely a cast off dark yoke.

Wherein truth and light are sent to prevail.
Those once chained- no longer need fear Hell.

Tonight The Heavens Sing A Melody
Part Three of Ancient doubles poems

    (5.)
Tonight The Heavens Sing A Melody

Bright heavens are sewing new stars tonight
While earth churns its deep seas and pauses not
Sleep the children, all tucked in so tight
We thank God for life and our humble lot.

The wandering moon its beams freely sends
The sky broadens to gift its golden rays
Nature its great beautiful bounty tends
Light streams down as night critters are at play.

The wafting breeze its dancing waltz bestirs
As gentle hours caress this lonely heart
Once these long sadden years cast a dark blur
Until this night refused a new start.

Tonight the Heavens sing a Melody.
Of Love, Life and Blissful Eternity.

After Love Lost Its Bright Vanishing Light

Now when the dew glitters the ground
I remember your eyes and weep,
My brain aches my sad heart hard pounds
I pray ceaselessly in my sleep
Nay- not for the beauty so lost
You made the heavens again shine
While I became the dying frost,
And on agony sat to dine.

Soon the play ends, the curtain falls
Yet this brief moment we still see
From the grieving seas your heart calls
To I that prays on bended knees
My angel, my darling- my all
Pray I, your hear this sincere plea.

With you here and our life anew
    Paradise will our souls entwine
For me, there exists none but you
We both drank passion's sweetest wine
Dawn, I wake and morn's echoes bring
    Memory of our midnight kiss
I see your face, my angel sings
Tears fall, for the love I so miss.

Note: This is the third and final offering
of ancient poetic doubles. Poems composed
42 years ago when I was a very young
24 years old. Still untarnished in my innocence
in regards to the dark ways of the wicked world.
I was learning even then about heartache,
misery and how many aches and pains and
sorrows can come upon a lost soul. One as
yet ready to seek the much needed light.
A poet that wrote and wrote =yet kept it
hidden. Life went on- I changed and now
regret not pursuing a career as a writer.
Paths not chosen, life is full of them and
    the--what ifs-- that they bring.
God bless, Merry Christmas to all the
many kind talented and wonderful poets
    here!

That Life Extends Its Seeds Beyond Our Mortal Coils, Wherein Truth And Light Sets A Saving Path
(2.) Dylan Thomas | Poetry Foundation

(3.) Dylan Thomas - Dylan Thomas Biography - Poem Hunter

    *******************************************

    My Tribute Poem:

That Life Extends Its Seeds Beyond Our Mortal Coils,
(Wherein Truth And Light Sets A Saving Path)

That death, dark and dread of night, mortal souls oft vex
In anger, Fate its massive powers too oft flex
Yet there within meadows, beauty its powers grows
As in heart of winter's spirit blows whitest snows
Man can but deny the light and thus misbehave
Walk the horrendous maze- so seeking what he craves
All is not dark and dreary, some light must break through
We of mere flesh and bones -we too have our just dues!

That life extends its seeds beyond our mortal coils
To bring bountiful fruits from world's abundant soils
All cannot be perfect, there must be some dark blight
Man lives within evil's savage and wicked sights
Beneath skies blue or else frothing with angry storms
All is daily life with its oft mysteries norms
This truth, we are destined to one day depart
Despite our wishes, those pleadings from crying hearts!

That love a magnificent gift, oft healing balm
We ever seek a life that is peaceful and calm
A true soulmate, one to cherish with bated breath
A faithful companion - to love until our death
Such is a part of man, a part of destiny
Fact of life, tho' we ever seek eternity
Heaven smiles unto we of mere mortal desires
And in divine light bathe us in its holy fires!

    Robert J. Lindley, 12-23-2020
Rhyme, ( Set Sail, The Sea Is Calm And The Sky Softest Blue )

Note: This blog, this poem both are inspired by a dream
I had a few nights ago. Has taken three days to get this
completed-seems it needs more. Truth is that I have no
more in me as of now. Thus accepting my lack of ability
I must make do as is now created. And abandon the second
poem that I had hoped to be able to compose to honor
Dylan Thomas. If Fate destines that second tribute poem
comes to me later- rest assured I will ink it and present it.
God bless and Merry Christmas to all..

Sometimes Saddest Endings, Are The Righteous Remedy

There at the turn, the sharp-toothed crooked end
A righteous river, drowned my only friend
Twas' remedy for a life - a sad end
He was no lamb, so let us not pretend
    A dark rascal, a hard-hearted lost soul
    Vagabond, traveler on wicked paths
Full of his greed, treasure his only goal
Walked he blind from his deep angry wrath!

He that was once friend, a very fine man
Sailed his ship straight, blessing dawn's treasure
Yet in him was evil born from his clan
A wild streak tossed in for good measure
I too, walked in the dark by his side
Thinking we were true heroes on the loose
I left, its evil I could not abide
He said - "too tame, rather die by the noose"!

I heard he went up North for a short spell
Found a pretty gal, settled down a bit
She then left him- in a deep pit of hell
And the bottle he so soon after hit
So sad that his redemption was lost
In misery, he vowed, world shall pay
He, my friend, then paid a heavy cost
He wed the dark -hiding from light of day!

There at the turn, the sharp-toothed crooked end
A righteous river, drowned my only friend
Twas' remedy for a life - a sad end
He was no lamb, so let us not pretend!

    Robert J. Lindley,
    July 2nd, 1980
(As seen the end came, life moved ever onward )

    Old Note: July 2nd, 1980

Hold the horses, sun its flame yet burns bright
There in the coming dusk, shadows of night
A whisper of something, a fleeing word
An old poet just begging to be heard
His pen racing across paper so white
O' the wicked beasts it did so hard smite

And within the shadows, a voice sounded
You offend, into dust will be grounded
I that reach from darkness, your soul will eat
I that sing forth blackness, no man defeats
Set thy pen aside, bow to worship me
Else, I will drown you in the darkest sea.

The reply came it was quite sharp and quick.
It was- "choose thy sword- I give you first pick".

    New note- 12-24-2020

Forty years -my how they have swiftly flown
Yes, sad tragedies, such I have thus known
True, your raging sword has slain many men
Yet it has not dulled this poet's brave pen…...

May Midnight Dark Devour This Cursed Threnody

May midnight dark devour this cursed threnody
Sweet dreams, felled on "cusp of victory"
Youthful wonderment through the heavens flew
Alas! Destined was the loss of you!

Cries in the dark, bevy of weeping moans.
Hath frozen this heart into hardest stone!

May Time into the darkest abyss cast
These savage sorrows- horrors of the past
And dawn, with its light and soft, soothing breath
Relieve this lost soul before "hour of death"!

Cries in the dark, bevy of weeping moans.
Hath frozen this heart into hardest stone!

May life allow mercy of this sad plea
Gift desire to kindly remember me
As I once stood, not now this dying heap
And perhaps a few falling tears then weep!

Cries in the dark, bevy of weeping moans.
Hath frozen this heart into hardest stone!

May this deep sorrow not destroy life's all
As my heart of hearts, I answer love's call
The whispering wind - this love carry swift
My last words- my love of her, my last gift!

Cries in the dark, bevy of weeping moans.
Hath frozen this heart into hardest stone!

Wake unto a new dawn a blessing true
Let out into this world, deep thoughts in you
With fortitude and zeal, paper and pen
Give us your very best, write, write- begin
You may just feel much better if you do.

    Note: 2
Early this morn my son asked me-- Dad why do you write poetry?
I told him , ok son-- I will write my answer as a poem.
Then you read it and tell me if you agree it merits as an answer
and then express your true thoughts on my answer and my time
I spend doing that. He gave only very positive replies on both counts.
Today started out good and then just got so much better.

Man Is More Than A Vessel Stranded Out At Sea, Second Tribute Poem to Dylan Thomas
    From blog,
That Life Extends Its Seeds Beyond Our Mortal Coils,
Wherein Truth And Light Sets A Saving Path

    My Dylan Tribute poem,
    Second poem
Man Is More Than A Vessel Stranded Out At Sea,
Second Tribute Poem to Dylan Thomas

That life may floweth into sad years of old age
Flailing against savage cuts that bring frothing rage
We in our mortal weakness are but flesh and bone
Oft sailing within storms as world's darkness is blown
Seeking life and wonderment on every page
Even if a lost actor on an empty stage
Railing against Time and Fate, and the great unknown
Only to have dreams trampled and peace overthrown!

Whether in the midst of ones' life and joy thus brought
Or befuddled by the chaos of lies when caught
Heart and soul must act as caretaker of ones' life
Wake to thank the morn, overcome the daily strife
Remember that life is a most precious gift
And life sets mystic patterns that eternally shift
Look at the beaming sun, speak well thanking each day
Search for happiness with sincere praise bow to pray!

In this mortal life walk a true and peaceful path
Try to avoid those steeped in rampaging wrath
Search deep for the magnificent bounty of love
Ever look skyward, plead for blessings from above
Hold to the wisdom- life tis a sweet gift from God
For the truth is upon this dark earth we must trod
Man is more than a vessel stranded out at sea
There is a close link between Heaven, God and thee!

Rhyme, ( In Life, Good And Bad Are The Perils We Must Face )
Second Tribute poem to Dylan Thomas..

    Note :
After being stumped for days -this came to me this morn.
Spent the day, rewriting and editing. Finally decided that
this is it. As a poet I have said what I wanted and thus
honored the man, the poet as to the best of my ability
to do so… This came after 3 other poems were written
    and then trashed.. God bless..

    Note-

Even in the darkest of times, light penetrates to gift hope.

And that hope has saved many a life, as it oft is divinely sent.
Meant To Be, Therefore Will Forever Last

Heaven was her first soft, passionate kiss
Begging, beg I for more, far more of this
Night's splendor, in her silk covered bed
Treasure, promise that one day we would wed
Live out our lives, loving our Fated trek
Without her this poor soul would be a wreck.

Heaven was her laugh, her beaming bright smile
Her perfume, her traveling in grand style
Her pretty tanned face, those sexy legs
Such rare beauty would make any man beg
Blessing that we were matched as a pair
Destined to our married lives share.

Heaven was her asking me on a date
Some say mere chance, I call it Hand of Fate
In life we are blessed, oft know not why
Love comes as a gift from Heavenly sky
I believe our love was Heavenly cast
Meant to be, therefore will forever last.

Heaven sent me a sweet angel divine.
Our lives blessed and as romance defines.

    Note:
Seeking to end this year on a high note
I decided to compose a new poem about
The dear blessing, the true love of my life
I know this very dark and tragically sad year,
Has brought from me many dark poems-
Yet this last poem of this depressive year
Shall be one of hope, blessing, romance,
family and a gift that was most assuredly
Heaven sent. My darling beautiful wife,
and our blessed Family. My blessing of
Being a poet and having the honor to
Gift words unto this world, with the hope
That such helps others and may inspire
New, young writers to venture forth, write
And thus give of heart and soul to benefit
others. If so- my time spent was not in vain.
