When Each Day, Fate Shatters Thy Clock


When each day, Fate shatters thy clock
And weeping whispers eat thy soul
Should thou hide under a huge rock
Or go fishing at thy best hole?

When low dark clouds, cast bitter lights
With dawn's sweet birth so far away
Gaze thee not at alluring sights
For tarrying will make thee pay!

When each hour, cuts like a hot knife
Thy mind screams for it all to stop
Consider, thy fighting such strife
Well before the big hammers drop!

When dark falters, thy heart may see
Moon and bright stars shining at night
Hope is not being a dead tree
Morn's blessing coming into sight.

When each day, Fate shatters thy clock

In Thy Love-Realm I Would Gladly Live And Die

Feeding thy mind soft-sweet words, heart wrapped in pure silk
thou art breathe of morn, treasure of thy mother's milk;
composing within feverish high prancing gleams,
flowing in fantastic velvety seamless seams.

This poet-spirit lives solely within thy grace
its rare gentleness and warm welcoming embrace;
send this day, dearest words of thy beating heart's pleas,
paradise, romance made by both our shining seas.

In that feast, where heaven showers with love-gold flakes
thy kisses art panacea for this soul aches;
thy voice singing songs that make earthen angels cry
for in thy love-realm I would gladly live and die.

I Got It

The eternal and beautiful love you cast into my soul!
the gentle ways you heal my worries and cares
The loving heart you gave , letting me think I stole!
purity as white as Spring's sweet love renewing airs


So many joys and nights of pure deep loving thrills
words whispered in madly passionate haste
Love's sweetest milk drank with never any great spills
love's food consumed with never any waste


The devotion that inspires me to deeply love again
to run ahead yet again without any dark fears
To believe, to say sincere prayers ending with Amen
to feel joy so deeply my blue eyes flood with tears.

Days Gifts, Nights Rest

Silently night slips ever closer to the break of day
sunrise and school children begin to run about
Worries and troubles falling like rain seem here to stay
ever returning like beautiful rainbow trout

Lazy day fishing in shade by a favorite stream
ease and comfort that brings smiles galore
So peaceful almost seems a wonderful dream
bless me, bless me with many more

Each week brings many joys and sorrows
hard times spring about like a midday frog
Yet I yearn for ten thousand more tomorrows
floating down swift river like a newly fallen log

Take up thy spear at sunrise
And climb the riven crags,
Where none have been before thee
But mist and mountain stags;
And sing the song of parting
From lute and budding breast,
For blood-moons shall gleam and wane
Ere thou shalt reach thy rest.
Sing to the soaring breezes,
The seaward -winding streams,
That when battle-storm is lulled
They bless thee in thy dreams.
The mountain gods shall hear thee,
Gods of frost and fire,
And pierce thy heart with gladness
As pure as thy desire.

Her Painting Reminds Me

Her painting reminds me of dangers of this earth
the fleeting years and hours, what are they truly worth?
Bad times the deep blues bring on long nights so weary
MORNS ARRIVE WITH PALE SUNBEAMS AND SHADOWS DREARY!

When paths race on to panic in darkest of dreams
find life is folly and falling for evil schemes.
Where tall trees rain down huge limbs upon aching heads
if we survive, we spend years on serious meds!

Yes dear! Your painted face brings such terrors anew
with images of relief now so long overdue.
Yet every time I reach over to take it down
I see it change, to an even more wicked frown!

Cursed painting reminds me of times on this earth
the fleeting years and hours, what are they truly worth?

Fair Maiden, Forever This True Love Hold

In your gold cage, I desire to grow old
in your house of romance, I dance.
Fair maiden, forever this true love hold
our hands were not joined by mere chance!

In thy warm heart, I pray we never part
may we sail upon calm blue seas.
Tis wrong to deny love dwells in each heart
must I now fall on bend-ed knees?

Remember thy vow, June night we first met
that first kiss and its honeyed-glow.
Life is wild, we have won its greatest bet
together we face life's great show!

Found To Be, A Simple Man

After casting off shadows weighing me down
I, a simple man surely came to be.
For each new dawn, no longer met with frown.
Instead came joyful smiles from a calming sea.

I, raced to return to my simple roots.
Not one wanting greatest fame and renown
I walk in my peace in my own simple boots.

Sought out for myself a pretty simple girl
gave her all of this simple spirit's heart.
Took her out night-dancing in a big whirl
was kind and true to her from our loving start.

Simply blessed to have found my pretty wife.
Now simply living without darkness and strife.

On urgent winds, they glide in high solitary arcs

With beauty that rivals bright stars glimmering above

Resting In These Tennessee Hills

Lazy mornings in these Tennessee hills
Horned owl in tree behind house hoots all night
Sometimes annoys but often gifts a thrill
As country-fired moon sends us brighter light!

Mellow breeze, waltz morn rays with soft touch
Tall trees wrapping such gentle slopping yards
Often this beauty just seems way too much
Never knew this blessing was in the cards!

How was this treasure hidden from my view
Clear streams flowing with splashing fish each Spring
I FEEL IN MY HEART PAYMENT IS OVERDUE
IF I HAD A FIDDLE I WOULD PLAY AND SING!

Famous mountains are near but just out of sight
I care not but some day's visit I just might!

My baby cried, what do you think you miss?
Is not, holding my hand, good as my kiss?
So why the sad, sad face that stirs my ire?
Do you no longer feel inside my fire?

Yes my baby, I feel fire that so warms.
I swear always, keep you from worldly harms.
So why do you in ire question me so?
Do not my passionate desires you know?

Yes my darling, I feel flames you emit.
You are my honey, I am your it.
I feel romantic waves from your huge heart
We were destined lovers, from blessed start!

Yes baby, your touch, I find cloud nine!
I swore oath, that forever you'd be mine!

Gone, our days dancing in the splashing rain
Awaiting the great mists of transcending time
My love, you taught me to ride a hurricane
Within the mind, a storm blasts out flashes
Consider the moment you wake this coming morn
Walking streets paved with nameless stones
Grains of sand, pretending to be boulders
Cool winds grace the soft emerging twilight
Memories of crossing fires and true romance
Hold my loving hand gently in your hand
Your gold hair hung just right on your shoulders
Thou art bright crimson-in rose red-lit bloom

Those sounds that now arrive in early morn
Those were golden days of splendor
Sit beside this gentle flowing stream
Morning dew glistens in anticipation
When I slumber where rushing waters play
River laps softly, a rainbow sings
Once I sought but love ran away
Climbing that hill, your heart within my soul
Hears that whisper, lovers in epic romance
You are my life, longing for you
The view, where led that path not taken
Who knew your forever was, a lover's query

Yet hope promises a new dawn each day
Dawn burst forth, earth was drinking its new rain
Goddess of my passion two hearts a'praying
Sunshine embraces my soul, drinking from mercy's cup
In sky's thundering heart, weeping for your sweet hand
We are but a mere blink, Fall sets to turn
Huge blue eyes that speak, seek fairness and love
On the high mountaintop I see the stars
We walked the night sands, moon shining down

For Moon Shines Down Despite Sun's Coming Glare

What could life ever give in its returns
within each new dawn's slow warming chambers-
more piles of white ash from hot fiery burns
sores nobody dares to remember?
Could Achilles deny his raging will
temper his ardor for war's greatest fame,
nay, no more than he could so, his weak heel
and his mother's deep love that was to blame!
Denied truth in love, red-burnt rose too fair
how bad should jaded, longing spirit react
For moon shines down despite sun's coming glare
as if each night's great glee is the first act.

Keep Your Ship Rock Steady, Trim And Afloat!

When dark rustle in the pines flushes forth
Cold, cold blows lively winds from the far North
Your human heart may in its bed arise
Seeing but faint sparkles through blinded eyes
Weather each dark storm with hope's biggest coat
Keep your ship rock steady, trim and afloat!

When greater glee in life, quickly wears off
Do so much more than shake your head and scoff
Blue-worms in corn, weevils in high cotton
No need look, smell tells something is rotten
If glass is half empty, just fill it up
If plate is found broken, break matching cup!

When sorrows rush in, like weeds in the fields
You push and push harder, yet nothing yields
Watch for clouds to break away to show sun
You get busy, too busy to have fun
Consider mighty toils earth's lowly ants
Lace tighter you shoes, hitch up big-boy pants!

Not the norm but I was reading a history book about 20 minutes ago and this entire first stanza popped right into my mind!
I stopped to jot in down and the rest just came poring out..
When I went to edit this, not one word did I change, and it was in perfect ten syllable verses the first draft.!
This is not the norm...

Wide Eyes Absorbing That Magical Scene


Upon night's clear sky, moon glowing its best
Soft breeze, swirling gently in silent tune
That gleaming star shining high in the West
Companion for Heaven's striking big moon!

Wide eyes absorbing true magical scene
With its proof we are souls wanting to fly
Earthen ground reflecting brightest moon-sheen
Tears born of pure joy, not a sad, sad cry

As dawn comes to wipe, to gift us new views
We may feel pains of sorrow losing this
Should we not celebrate having the two
For surely either lost, we'd dearly miss!

Should mankind ponder why such great, bright gifts
Tis Heaven's view to earth, that so uplifts!

Promise not, which hand and mind can not deliver
silver sheaths and gems are not listed needs.
This world and poor in life loves a cheerful giver,
red blood flows freely whenever one bleeds!

Should you promise, your heartfelt and dearest of dreams
what on earth more, could any man dare ask?
Life and Love are not clever little mortal schemes
one profits nothing wearing a false mask!

Can you see wisdom in this, holding out for more
with hope and kindness as your saving keys?
Beach-sand is not better on distant foreign shores
neither is, living life of begging please!

Walk with a giving soul, happiness there abides
With greater wisdom one can in peaceful, soft-strides!
