many years back i saw a TV documentary about this. i think it was on NATGEO. the former runt, who died allowed an Asian eye doc in to treat N koreans. i think maybe cataract surgery. he was given a limited time and allowed to bring a team along. one of which was spy with a hidden cam. its was both interesting and frightening. when it came time to remove their eye pads they were facing da man's photo. so he would be the first they saw. the doctor was not even mentioned.

They have the internet there but in VERY limited access for regular access, government and such. The citizens have access, but not only is it heavily censored, but it's also only local access. They have their own little mini-internet going on over there if memory serves me correctly. None of their access is outside of their borders. I can only imagine what would happen if hackers were busted going beyond the barriers or going anti-government. Consider this - the fat little bastard had his own uncle eaten by dogs to death.
