Firefox changed today

Moved some shit around up top, the bookmarks are now in a different area and shit I like is now hidden. I don't like change. But I suppose with DHS warning people not to use IE for now, it's better than the alternative! Really though, it's just a neater looking version, and you can customize it like I did to make it somewhat appear like it did yesterday.

Never! Then I gotta learn all over again. I've got too much time invested in Firefox! LOL I did find a theme that someone released already today that changes the new appearance to look like the old one, but you still have the new additions and security.

Bah! Chrome is faster & lighter than Firefox. More secure, too, due to the fact that more scumbag malware peddlers target IE and then Firefox, in that order.

One of the really cool things about Chrome is the Adblock plugin. No more ads for me, and it even strips out those damn ads on Youtube videos.

There's adblock for FF too! I agree, best thing ever. I don't mind plain old ads too much, but ever since I installed ad block that was the end of those pesky 15-30 second video ads when watching youtube or yahoo videos!

Chrome is just Apple's Safari browser, styled up a little better than Safari and of course loaded with Google's spyware. "More secure" it is not, in fact it's alot less secure.

Apple WebKit and the Safari kernel, when ran on a windows computer, is IE dependent. Bet you didn't know that. That makes it vulnerable to most anything that gets in the IE registry. And I bet you also didn't know that IE runs and accesses the internet even when you're not using it, don't have it open and even if you have never used it. This is if you're on a windows computer.

The "chrome is more secure" fraud is one of the most easily proven frauds.

Firefox runs completely independent of IE and the windows registry. And had AdBlock WAY before Chrome ever existed.

There will always be diehard Mozilla fans, but here's a hackfest that was run a couple weeks ago dealing with browser insecurity that actually says Firefox is the worst of the lot:

These vulnerabilities, if they were in the wild, would allow a hacker to do just about anything with your computer if you visited a specially crafted website.

It's a shameful thing for any browser to be accused of being less secure than IE.

A lot of other users have previously complained about Firefox not sandboxing, and I know there was discussion about implementing it. I know also they are working on this for a soon version, called "Electrolysis"

The goal of the project is to run web content in a separate process from Firefox itself. The two major advantages of this model are security and performance. Security would improve because the content processes could be sandboxed (although sandboxing the content processes is a separate project from Electrolysis). Performance would improve because the browser UI would not be affected by poor performance of content code (be it layout or JavaScript). Also, content processes could be isolated from each other, which would have similar security and performance benefits.

But honestly, if your computer is properly secured, and your home network/firewall. and you ain't hanging out at 4chan or similar - you should be fine with any browser ('cept IE for right now!)

I like both Chrome and FF, it just comes down to preference. For many years now I have learned how to customize to my liking, learned the add-ons and basically everything around it. I'm just plain too damn lazy to be venturing elsewhere, for now.

I think eventually they will all learn and emulate one another, steal ideas, remove things, update.... and it'll always come down to personal preference.

I think we can call agree that IE sucks and is like having little terrorists running around on your machine right now!

Don't you know about the new Brendan Eich feature in Firefox? If you use the word faggot, most of it's functionality will be disabled similar to what Windows does if run it without a license key.

I ask because I am now aware. FIREFOX also has nearly the same technical abilities to nearly INVADE every directory on your PC, or Laptop.

Just as Google has been invading nearly everything we do on the Internet. Everyone should be weary of FIREFOX, and beware of feeling too comfortable, or happy with it's performance.
