    namvet. I thank you for the reminder. And I wonder, how many members of this forum actually know what those two letters VE meant. And we can't forget VJ either.

    Sadly. Our educational system no longer seems to include U.S. History...beyond the day the Internet first appeared on the scene.

    I am one person who will never forget. Both of my grandfathers fought in WWII. My paternal grandfather fought in the Pacific Theater. My maternal grandfather was on the Eastern Front, fighting the Russians.
    I have never been anyplace in Asia, but I have visited many of the battlefields in Germany. I've even seen my grandfather's Wehrmacht uniform.
    History is a wonderful thing.

    So you are descended from NAZIs? That explains some of your views.
