Luther Campbell earned millions with this song. Does that make him acceptable?

Absolutely. My parents were pretty lenient about what I listened to, but rap was never allowed.
Someone made my daughter a CD that had some rap songs on it last year. I looked up one of the songs and had her read the lyrics. Her response "That's really disgusting!"
I can see why tailfins enjoys Pitbull. They seem to think alike.
I’m just telling you the truth
Maybe I’m too blunt, but why front!
You got it going on, just pull up your skirt
I know what to do with your thong!
I’ma Pull it to da side and rub it down right
Let me know if I’m wrong!
She’s Freaky! She knows how to do what I like just right!
She’s Freaky! She likes you to talk dirty all night!
She’s Freaky! She likes her ass slapped when she rides!
She’s Freaky! And a freak is what I need in my life!
Of course that doesn't make them "acceptable", and I never even hinted otherwise. But he should STILL have the right to write the music he likes, and sell his music if there is a market willing to purchase. What you or I think of his crappy lyrics shouldn't change that. The 1st amendment gives artists the right to have crappy lyrics. There have been multi-million dollar sales from bands with MUCH worse than Campbell and Pitbull combined!
The funny thing is that I learned about Pitbull three or four years ago from the radio stations my wife listens to. Before I married her the only time I listened to such stuff was on the radio crossing Brazil in a rental car. Pitbull is tame compared to stuff on Brazilian radio.
