Second, you do know that, for much of its existence, Democrats were the conservative, states right party. While Republicans were liberals.

I'm no expert on American history. What I do know is what should be true for today, namely, that the Republican Party is the one worthwhile Right-wing hope America has.

That's not to say that a measure of reform isn't called for. But you, Gabby, are attempting to subvert the one hope of a bright future your country still has.

By the way: when it comes to role reversal, when it comes to 'appropriated reputability', look at the stance Abraham Lincoln took on such matters as slavery and racism. Contrast that with Woodrow Wilson's pro-segregationist policies, a generation later ...
