Default 11 colleges ban booing at soccer games

    Boo who?

Fans attending men’s college soccer games in New England are expected not to boo if they don’t like something on the field, according to a recent letter sent out by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
"As a supporter, we ask you not engage in any unsportsmanlike actions, which include booing, taunting, profanity, rude language or gestures, or any other action that could be potentially construed as negative or confrontational," the NESCAC letter read.

Kinda dumb. Not sure how they think they are going to enforce this.

I want to see them try and enforce it.

I have been to multiple high school and club soccer games in East Los Angeles and the vicinity. Booing is not an issue. Spectators bringing weapons to games is an issue.
One of my best friends is a soccer referee. It's not a job for those with a thin skin.

I STILL don't see how they plan on enforcing this rule. Stop the game? Throw all the fans out?

And of course we KNOW some fans are going to see this rule and just do it anyway on principle. I think this rule will exacerbate rather than solve a perceived problem.

    Yeah, sure.

Might as well ban pissing in the rest room too.

I rant about this a lot, this is why our university system is not only flawed it's dangerous. People making these decisions exist in the academia bubble, few if any of them have ever spent much time in the real world.

And they're molding our future thinkers.

Ban booing? Is this for real? Me and my friends would have booed all game long just on principle!! That's just part of the game. I wonder if they'll ban cheering next?

If the crowd here has any "class" they'll be booing nonstop at every game.

Can't have cheering, that would mean that you favored someone.

Yeah...throw all the fans out and who will support the games. Just dumb.

At least now we know who Obama goes to for his war strategy.
