Since I've had/have some very good Taurus pistols I'm not prejudice against Taurus.....Granted its not a target pistol....but the lack of iron sights and uneven crown bugs the crap out of me. Aside from that it's cool as hell....but I like the View too for some odd reason.`

    We'll see.

What purpose does that configuration serve?
I've owned Taurus pistols but have none now .

"Rather than develop another pistol that requires people to conform around the dimensions of a gun, the new Taurus Curve conforms around the contours of the human body.
In terms of its concept as “The gun you wear,” Taurus has stepped outside the norm with its new Curve, offering a non-traditional form factor that aims for comfortable and clever concealment. In the spirit of its name, its curved polymer frame housing is designed to tuck up to your body when carried on the right side. Taurus has even received approval from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on this arched-frame design, so if other manufacturers wish to adopt a similar concept, they’ll need to pay Taurus for the privileges."

    `Ahhh...they are going with something different...a nice..small light-weight self-defense shooter some might like...I prefer 9mm and above...but this `can` be a nice back-up "bug"...

Any caliber under 9MM lacks the quick stopping power needed in my opinion. Although a 32 caliber in the right hands is very deadly ,most are not capable of shooting that high of a level to make up for its lack of quick stopping power. I am but still would never carry on as a personal side arm. I even do not go with the 9mm, I prefer the 40 or 45 calibers. The 45 caliber has great stopping power and to me that's very necessary as one may be facing multiple opponents . One shot , one quick stop becomes paramount then. My favorite pistol is the 45 cal Kimber and the 40 cal Glock. Any big caliber Sig is great too. The SPRINGFIELD ARMS
40 CALIBER XD RATES EXTREMELY HIGH TOO. -Tyr

*Good stuff there Ty....with Practice being a good shot with any caliber can be very effective also.

`I enjoy shooting 9mm `G19` and 10mm `G20SF`....I enjoy reloading therefore saving money when target shooting and always having ammo available...I even reload the 870....`

Need to say , the 9mm is a fine caliber and I have owned several.. Had Ruger 9mm that I loved to shoot but gave it to my favorite nephew as a birthday present a few years ago.. As he'd been eyeing it for many years ..
Reloading is a good thing and saves money.
However, the termites ate my reloading supplies too . --Tyr

For a conceal carry, sights are not needed as it is for close range. Besides, in a "FIX" one needs to be able to go "ALL NATURAL" when your life is on the line. Sights require an extra amount of "THINKING" and can many times get caught up on clothing.

Generally, I'd say shoot a pistol like a bow or shotgun (clays) but this takes practice (as in pitching a baseball) and that is one of the main reasons for sights....folks usually don't have the time, money or facilities to practice. I like that this handgun has no sights.....but who can afford to do diligence by practicing on such expensive ammo these days. It's really a shame.....

I have a XD40 - I hate the trigger pull, but otherwise like the pistol - here's my next accessory for it:

“… the greatest detractor from high performance is fear: fear that you are not prepared, fear that you are in over your head, fear that you are not worthy, and ultimately, fear of failure. If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.

True, the trigger pull is not to be desired. My 45 cal Kimber has the sweetest trigger pull I've ever found on a pistol. I mean it is perfect. Also is the best shooting 45cal auto I've ever shot..

O' yea termites ate it too.

That weapon sure means you are loaded up to do some serious work!!! - --Tyr
