    Default Bong Hits For Jesus

    Very interesting.

By MARK SHERMAN, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court tightened limits on student speech
Monday, ruling against a high school student and his 14-foot-long
    "Bong Hits 4 Jesus" banner.

Schools may prohibit student expression that can be interpreted as
advocating drug use, Chief Justice John Roberts wrote for the court
    in a 5-4 ruling.

Joseph Frederick unfurled his homemade sign on a winter morning in 2002,
as the Olympic torch made its way through Juneau, Alaska, en route to
the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

Frederick said the banner was a nonsensical message that he first saw
on a snowboard. He intended the banner to proclaim his right to say
    anything at all.

I guess students should be encouraging other students to use drugs while mocking others then?

Well how about actually stating something that means something to the rest of us. We can't read your warped mind to know what you mean when you write short little cryptic rantings. I'd assume too, by the "What a crock!!!" statement, that you object to the ruling. Its already a well known fact that students cannot be disruptive at school activities, there are often dress codes to prevent them from wearing T-shirts with similar crap written on them. Don't think any of us are surprised that you'd be very upset that the rest of society isn't going to allow children in schools to go around carrying signs or wearing t-shirts promoting the use of weed.

“… the greatest detractor from high performance is fear: fear that you are not prepared, fear that you are in over your head, fear that you are not worthy, and ultimately, fear of failure. If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.
