But until then....... I had a conversation with my brother yesterday, after we found out that we would be receiving a certificate from the White House. A certificate thanking my father for his service to our country signed by (in Gaffer's words) the Dark Lord....My brother and I were both in agreement dad is going to be flipping his ashes over that one.

I am so glad Gaffer got the military honor at his funeral service. At first this morn I refused to watch it as I knew it would upset me and it did for a few minutes but then I realized he so deserved to have such an honor at his funeral. And knowing that he got it along with a fine service made it alright..
My friend, our Gaffer, was a class act and an honorable man that had the kind of moral principles that built this nation and made it truly great.. He will be truly missed and already has been by me...--Tyr
