Default Troy Polamalu retires - thanks for the memories!

I'm sad to see that he has announced his retirement, but talk about a great ride for an NFL player!! He'll go down as one of the best Steelers ever.

    ----

"It's all about family," said Polamalu to Wexell. "I live here in Pittsburgh now, and since the end of the season I've had a chance to enjoy my family on a level I never had before. It was awesome."

"Thirty-three is obviously significant because of Christ being 33; and 12 years, 12 apostles," Polamalu said, according to Wexell. "I'm not superstitious by any means but I always thought that if I played 12 years and retire from football at 33 and give my life and give my body and give my blood to this game, I think that would be a pretty significant landmark in my life."

    Some of those memories....

“You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named "Bush", "Dick", and "Colin." Need I say more?” - Chris Rock

No! Say it ain't so Jim! Troy was probably the Sole reason I enjoyed watching the Steelers so much.

I know it had to come, but YOU, as a true Steeler's fan have to admit. There will NEVER be another like him.

He was EVERYWHERE all the time. The Steeler's will never be the same again.

    Sorry to hear it.

I hate to see him go, he was what a tough defense of player was all about, during his prime I think I would of put him along side any of the greats.
