Default 2 officers shot at protest outside Ferguson police station

FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) — Two officers were shot in front of the Ferguson Police Department early Thursday, authorities said, as demonstrators gathered after the resignation of the city's police chief in the wake of a scathing Justice Department report alleging bias in the police department and court.

A 32-year-old officer from nearby Webster Groves was shot in the face and a 41-year-old officer from St. Louis County was shot in the shoulder, St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said at a news conference. Both were taken to a hospital, where Belmar said they were conscious. He said he did not have further details about their conditions but described their injuries as "serious."

"I don't know who did the shooting, to be honest with you," Belmar said, adding that he could not provide a description of the suspect or gun.

He said his "assumption" was that, based on where the officers were standing and the trajectory of the bullets, "these shots were directed exactly at my officers."

The shots were fired shortly after midnight as protesters were gathered following the resignation of embattled Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson on Wednesday. Before the shooting, some at the protest were chanting to show they weren't satisfied with the resignations of Jackson and City Manager John Shaw earlier in the week, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. Authorities from multiple agencies had gathered outside of the department.

It's time to send the National Guard in and tell them to clean house, enough with these poor folks BS already. This all started because of someone breaking the law and they still believe they can and will do it anytime they want, send the Guard in with orders shoot to kill. Put a curfew on the area and you know these idiots will come out anyway and they will be the ones that need to be gone, so just do it !!

Protester Taunts Cops After Two Police Officers Shot in Ferguson

During a protest early Thursday morning in Ferguson, Missouri, shots were fired and two police officers were seriously injured. A live-stream video being shot from across the street by one of the protesters captured the moment.

As the first shot rang out a woman near the camera screamed in surprise (at 0:27 in the video). Then after one or two more shots, a man, presumably one of the officers who was hit, could be heard moaning as if in pain. Protesters began to run away from the scene of the violence, and when the camera turns back to police they can be seen swarming, apparently trying to help the injured officers.

Seconds later, in what can only be described as a surreal moment, someone on the protesters’ side of the street taunts the police in a loud voice saying, “Acknowledgement nine months ago would have kept that from happening.” (0:48) The protester, whose face isn’t seen, was apparently referring to the shooting of Michael Brown, which took place last August.

Hey, if people's attention turns towards racist police, they aren't watching the news on Iran, the economy, etc. Win-win for the administration.

EEEzactly what I was telling my friends . The Obama and crew are masters at creating situations to divert ATTENTION away from that which is getting too hot for them..
Iran getting its nukes is number one for them right now. As usual nobody is focusing on why the Obama is so damn hell-bent on helping Iran nuke up!-Tyr

Could very likely be true that the person that shot those two cops was one of bamboy and holder's instigation squad that's been there ever since this started, fanning the flames.
Remember the Obama sent a squad to Israel to help elect the opposition candidate against Netty...
We should be asking who is paying that squad Obama sent there and is it with our tax dollars but no-he claims black skin so he gets to do any damn corrupt thing he wants! And is excused for it, does that sound familiar?
