WTF? A memorial for a thug criminal? LOL Some still go on about how he was unarmed and such. I guess we should just allow scum like that to steal cops guns and shoot them instead, don't wanna harm the big 'ol thug! This is absolutely ridiculous. I think in Baltimore they should put up a small statue to honor the cops responsible for the death of Freddie Gray. Sound ridiculous? I'd rather honor cops that we don't know 100% for sure who did what yet even, as opposed to honoring a KNOWN criminal and someone who attempted to steal a cops gun and likely try to kill him.

Thats a picture of the typical attitude a great many of the " poor downtrodden people" have.

These places should be finding young kids that are influential to the neighborhoods, and adults alike, and honor THEM. Use the plaques for positivity, now a long lasting reminder of a thug, and racial division. It's absolutely amazing how some can forget the facts so damn quickly and continue on like this scumbag was an innocent unarmed victim.

This is disgusting, I have to admit I read the headline of this thread and the captioned part but not the article, I was under the impression it was still in the planning phase, but these brainless idiots in Ferguson are actually doing it.

FERGUSON • The memorial to Michael Brown on Canfield Drive has been removed and will be replaced by a plaque, Mayor James Knowles III and Michael Brown Sr. announced Wednesday.
Knowles said the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis will store the stuffed animals and other items that have formed the temporary memorial down the center of Canfield Drive since Aug. 9, when Brown, 18, was shot and killed there by a Ferguson police officer.
Flanked by newly elected Ferguson City Council members Wesley Bell and Ella Jones, Knowles and Brown said the plaque will be part of a new permanent memorial in the area.

And apparently this is what the sidewalk looks like now, but have no fear the mayor says they will store the stuffed animals.
