"On nights that moon sends its romantic rays
do you look at the glow and think of me?"
Great verse.

Great verse.
Where Distant Shores, Offer Real Peace And Renewed Hearts
Where distant shores, enter into dream's sweetest glows
there Hope and Love, counter life's hardest of hard blows.
In such mystical realms our spirits can then soar,
far above tragedy this dark world gladly pours.
In that paradise where love sings its sweetest sounds,
blessed we are, to find world's pain no longer pounds.
Where distant shores- offer sun, sky and sandy beach
Hope and Love can mortal lives so happily teach.
Each day is a gift, if we embrace Truth and Light,
walk a bold path, ever seek to do what is right.
In that dreamworld bring our sorrows from dark of night
with the newfound gift of relief from fearful fright.
Where distant shores, offer real peace and renewed hearts
all may find souls receiving gifts true love imparts.

Sonnet ( Where paradise, dreams and mortal hopes meet)

Written for a contest but I forgot to enter it. However that contest closed this morning. My bad.....
I seem to have too many things to remember as of late, but still this sonnet was written, so some good came out of it after all. -Tyr

My Gift In Having You, Dear Friends Did Once Extol
Despite grace and beauty, your silence ate my soul
in that realization, aching pain broke in;
my friends, my great luck in having you, did extol
our breakup, I simply knew not how to begin!
Neither you nor I could such tragedy explain
sad missteps, sorrows found, each of our greatest banes.
To this day, better than your love, I have not found
yet tho' life may beat and trample us at its will;
we are not during such times always chained and bound
for in love's seas, we may reap without any till.
As destiny plucked away bliss, with heavy hand
it did not burden with more, than we could withstand.
Despite grace and beauty, your sad flight ate my soul.
My gift in having you, dear friends did once extol.

Note- This is an old poem, slightly edited today to present here now.
I am not being lazy when presenting these old poems. I am reviewing my old stuff, to either keep it or else completely trash it.
Some are keepers but need minor editing. A few are keepers but need heavy editing. This one needed very minor editing( about 3 minutes worth).

This My Heart Cries Out, Is But A Sad Song
I shall drinketh not of Life's poison draught
Nor when famished, yield to its pleading thirst
Of Hope, goodness in Life, I was this taught
What ego so swells, it will also burst;
As man walks in darkness his steps faltered
In that weaken heart, black enters and grows,
He becomes a horse so firmly haltered
It rests between death's first destroying rows.
This my heart cries out, is but a sad song-
Man is a creature doomed to his demise,
He walketh edge of abyss, helped along
By each tempting lust evil can devise.
When sorrows demand, I death must embrace
I speaketh true,- "nay, such is a disgrace"!

Sweetest Of Moans, From Her Desirous Lips
Sweetest of moans, from her desirous lips
echoes night's glory, its fruits partaken
we had collided as love seeking ships
that each, our sad pasts, we had forsaken.
With cargo born, heart's resplendent fires
our search, with its sweetest treasures thus found
gave us cause to join in love's hot desires
and with fervor beg for chains to be bound.
Now in paradise berth, we each swore all
of deep passions to entwine in love's grip
to fight this hard world, united stand tall
swearing to never let true romance slip.
Docked and riding such sweet and peaceful waves.
We gave thanks, to a Love that truly saves.

One Of The Deepest Mysteries Of Life
If the wistful wind sighs, and I take my last breath
will my mortal soul weep only at this, my death?
Can man live, our existence ever understand
death is natural, its living we must withstand?
If years eat away at eager heart, soul and mind
can true love and moonlight stroll release such a bind?
Shall warm kisses found under bright glistening stars
banish sad memories, remove deepest of scars?
If sent, will blessings renew hope and faithful thought
on the correctness of Love, the kind never bought?
When whispering winds proclaim Life is too cruel
know this, Love is the most magnificent jewel.
If heart and soul can unite to dear romance seek.
Into vagaries of Life and Fate we may peak.

At A Crossroads Poet, Hears That True Call,
(dedicated, to my friend with appreciation)
At a crossroads, poet finds waiting pen
beneath dust that hides wiles of evil men
ink then cast forth on an eager blank page
from heartfelt and pure soul of wizened sage.
At a crossroads truths, one can not deny
nor neglect reigning beauty of night skies
as stars twinkle and moonlight bright parades
through wafting breeze and all Nature hath made.
At a crossroads poet, hears that true call
music that inflames passions in us all
for such inspires deep love and gifted hands
with verse from far above, our earthly lands.
At a crossroads, where sincere life one lives.
Soul rests free within, writes sweet words to give.

At The Knife Edge Of That Deep, Dark Abyss
I that was born on a dark, stormy night
So gifted at young age, deeper insight,
Lead to safety of ever brighter Light
Freed from darkest of dark, began to write.
A child begging Nature to my pleas hear
Oft with whimpering words and falling tears,
Imaginative child, whispers one hears
Tempting shadows to hit me with more fears.
A teen, mourning a death that my soul broke
Farther into books my heart sat to soak,
Awaiting each, as black the ill wind blows
Felt such abhorrent fears, as such oft goes.
By birth, sponge set to seek out Master Poe.
Living, pen and paper, writing to grow.

I Walked The Wet Sands, Just Beyond Lapping Waves
I walked the wet sands, just beyond lapping waves
with every footstep, sincere prayer said that saves
morning sun was then rising, heart was beating strong
cool wind was blowing, hopeful and true dreams along
melancholy were the sounds as waves wet soft sands,
Heaven was beaming, its glory across the lands.
I walked the long day, future waving ahead
leaving behind sorrows, grabbing sweet live instead
orange sun was setting, each step a blessed gift
Nature began singing, soft prayers that so uplift,
never more the doubting or the deep aching pains
praising God by shouting, only true faith remains!
I walked the wet sands, just beyond lapping waves
with every footstep, sincere prayer said that saves.
