I stated long ago, the huge debt Obama created was to be able to use it to cut the size of our military. Now with a trillion dollar cut spread over the next ten years we see the fruit of that. There is so much excess pork in the military budget, we could feed the world three times over.
The first thing Obama should have done was cut the bloated Pentagon staff by about half. Not to mention all the unused and/or antiquated military bases that could be closed or consolidated.
It's not like we don't have enough military strength already. The 40,000 figure is barely a drop in the bucket.

After the troop buildup for two wars that are now over, the same draw down of troops is happening as it is after all wars.

Sure Obama is CIC, but he doesn't control the budget which is the real cause of the draw down. Congress does! Talk about short memories, doesn't anyone remember 6 months ago when:

If it's the money he is worried about maybe he could stop sending his family on vacation every other week, cut his pay in half ( I am being generous here ) he does nothing. There is a million ways to stop spending, how about quit sending special investigators each time another black thug gets caught committing a crime.
