Default Demand a big severance if thinking of working for Amazon.

Make sure you ask for three months severance in the employment agreement. Make sure it's worded in a way they can't weasel out of. This is exactly the kind of company I would start planning for litigation from day one. Having a big severance takes the fear out of being fired.

“You walk out of a conference room and you’ll see a grown man covering his face,” he said. “Nearly every person I worked with, I saw cry at their desk.”
Others cry; I litigate. However, if they give into my demand for a motionless, silent workplace, I will work my a$$ off for them.

The company is conducting an experiment in how far it can push
white-collar workers to get them to achieve its ever-expanding ambitions.
