    Default Enough Already NFL

The Lions are bad enough as it is, they don't need the officials making things even worse. This is the third time in as many years the Lions have lost a game because of a decision that was so bad that even the NFL admitted the call was wrong, it happened in Chicago, then Dallas, and now Seattle. Quit piling on already.

    Couple things.

First, the Lions didn't lose based on a bad call. The Lions lost because one of the league's best Players (Kam) forced a fumble from one of the league's best WRs (MegaTron). The Lions lost also because they whiffed on two chances to Sack Russell - who made them play for 35 yards to an average WR (kearse), then 20-something yards to AngryDougBaldwin for the TD. The Lions lost because they didn't score enough points when it counted.

Had Megatron - who disagrees with you that the Refs 'lost the game' for the lions - held the ball, Lions walk in for the TD, then likely lose in the final minutes as Russell continues to carve-up the Lions secondary through big plays.

Megatron's quote: "At the end of the day I have to hang onto the ball. Can't leave it in officials hands."

Here's what happened. The back judge had his hand on the flag. He watched the Seahawk. The Ref ruled the the batting of the ball was NOT intentional. It's a judgment call. Because of that, during the half-second-or-less of what's going on, the back judge felt there wasn't the required intent. In slow motion or in hindsight, sure. Different story.

This shows why Seattle WON...The Lions didn't LOSE. Seattle WON

It's always more complicated than one call.

It IS always more complicated than one call, but I am sure the Lions would have liked to have had the correct call. It was a bad no-call. Clearly the Seahawks player batted it out and it perhaps cost the Lions a shot at winning the game. Not that I love the Lions, as I most certainly do not.

Last year in the playoffs, the Lions were on the unfortunate end of a bad call with the Cowboys. And the next game the Cowboys were on the unfortunate end of a bad call against them. Both calls affected the games. Were there other opportunities to win the game? Sure.

It was a bad call and the NFL head of officiating admitted it:

    http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25328927/nfl-head-of-officiating-admits-officials-erred-at-end-of-lions-seahawks-game

Less than two minutes to go, fresh set of downs 1/2 yard away from the end zone. Maybe the Lions screw that up, maybe, but it was a bad call. So was the call in Dallas and so was the call in Chicago.

I get what Megatron is saying and he has to say that, all players should have that attitude but it was a horrible call.

It was the wrong call, but it's the rules and the Players deciding the game is ALWAYS better than the refs. The ball was on its way out of bounds anyway.

Giving two minutes to Russell wilson - or even 90 seconds, is enough for Seattle to score twice.

I agree players should decide the game and the Lions should have had 4 chances inside the 1 to decide the game. Games are 60 minutes long, not 58:30 and those last two minutes are just as important as the first 58. Anyway, I have to admit as bad as it was it's still not as bad as the way Megatron got jobbed in Chicago.

I quit watching NFL football about 20 years ago because of the officiating.

Oddly enough It was a Cowboys - Lions game where the Cowboys made the last minute field goal twice in a row until the refs marched them out of range. That was the end for me.

The Lions lose games for the same reason that the Cowboys lose games.

    Because they suck.

    I wish I had a comeback for that but I don't.

Cowboys got more Superbowl rings than YOUR team.

What y'all don't get though is I'm a Steelers fan. First pro football game I saw. First thing in actual color I saw. (Yes, I'm older than dirt). Bradshaw was a rookie and had hair. Got benched for Terry Hannraty And John Gilliam who was actually the first black QB to start in a game. Bradshaw couldn't hit the broad side of a barn when he first came out. He could throw 80 yards but you better be under it.

Point is, when you move around place to place, you watch the local team. Lived in South FL for over 10 years. STILL love the Dolphins. Only place I lived where every team sucked was Southern California. Watching the AFC West is Please give me a fucking gun with one round so I can end this.

Y'all want to talk about torture. Holy f^ck. Watch a season of San Diego Clippers games.

As a non-football fan, I don't actually have a team. But one of my best friends, being born and raised in the shadows of Steel Town, is a mega Steelers fan. She comes over and watches her beloved team because we have NFL Ticket.
We also have satellite TV so my mom can watch German soccer and other such Deutsch Fernsehprogrammen
