    Default The Pacific

I've been watching the HBO Series The Pacific (2010), narrated by Tom Hanks, concerning the Marine Division that went to Guadalcanal after the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. It is a very well put together series. I didn't see it when it came out, but now I can see it, one part after another without waiting a week. It's on HBO On Demand on cable.

The Marines on Guadalcanal were so hard they made hard run away. GySgt John Basillone put the wood to those f*ckers. Haven't seen the show, but I know the history. He was so hard corps his clothes wore out from the inside.

I've finished with the series, ten parts. It was an excellent presentation; well worth watching.

Like I said .. I ain't allowed to watch war movies. They're "Banned From the Bible" around here. I want to see American Sniper but you'd have to put me in a cage to watch it. The people around me apparently don't appreciate my personality when stuff like that's on.
