Seven Echoes Resound In The Old Bell Tower

Seven echoes resound in the old bell tower
each a clap for righteous requests.
Sanctity evades within this religious hour
and hovers over its invited guests.

Old bell strokes out its first day's ten
time reminds the priests to pray.
Caution seriously, we the far lesser men
on faith of this holy Sabbath day.

When this day and ceremonies are at end
invisible cello stroking its strings.
Even the deaf smile handsomely and pretend
some slip away while the choir sings.

Seven echoes resound in the old bell tower
each a plea for a peaceful day.
Blessings cast down bringing by the hour
more faith to those that pray!

Storm On The World

The sky on parade the wind has spoken
down below havoc, trees all 'abroken
Guabancex, exhaled and the blast 'acoming
below man and critters both 'arunning'

Guatauva in a jealous rage responding
thundering roars and flashes 'alighting
Coatrisquie, not wanting to be humiliated
flooded the torn ground until saturated

Marohu woke and saw the greatest devastation
Swore he- to gift man and Nature restoration
Calmed the sky and wind with explanation
With forceful words he remind each his station

Depart for now as Yaya sets about creating
And rewards Mother Nature for her waiting
God of thunder sent away all 'afuming
As life on earth began its sweet resuming.

Taíno mythology


1.Guabancex, the top Storm Goddess; the Lady of the Winds who also deals
out earthquakes and other such disasters of nature.

2.Guatauva, the god of thunder and lightening who is also responsible for
rallying the other storm gods.

3.Coatrisquie, the torrential downpour Goddess, the terrible Taíno storm
servant of Guabancex and side-kick of thunder God Guatauva.

4.Yaya (god), supreme God/Great Spirit in Taíno mythology.

Marohu, the sunny God of good weather; Boinayel's twin brother.

The Mighty Sea Was Split

Stillness- long dark, a mark on every door
Night last moan a cry for the day.
Lamentations scream- curses by the score
Dark angel had its vengeful way.

Evil rests in place, sadness graces each face
arrogant hearts oppressed and ruled.
None could dare love enough for saving grace
even their dark host was fooled.

Pharaoh's hot blood flowed, chilled to the bone
slaves , beasts as toys were used.
Where spirit and soft flesh set to shatter stone
mere ants were beat and abused.

Dark host was very soon to meet the split sea
chasing ants that raced away
Soon crushed with no safe place to flee
his hatred reaped its just pay.
