Carly Fiorina openly accused “The View” of inviting her on the show on Friday for nothing more than a ratings grab after the show earned criticism for joking that the Republican presidential candidate’s face looked “demented” during the last GOP debate.
“I think ‘The View’ garnered a lot of publicity over this feud as well,” the candidate fired back after Whoopi Goldberg suggested Fiorina was publicizing their comments to boost her poll numbers. “I think that’s why you had me on your show at the top of the hour for a couple segments.”
But Goldberg insisted that wasn’t the show’s intention. “We didn’t put out any ads or anything,” she said.

Co-host Paula Faris came to the candidate’s defense, saying that as she did with her clash with Donald Trump, Fiorina was simply “trying to make lemonade out of lemons.”
“Oh, so you’re telling me that you guys are lemons?” Fiorina joked, earning praise from the comics on the panel.
