Monday night in Columbus, OH, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump doubled down on his vow that he will bring back waterboarding if elected president.

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Trump first said he would bring back waterboarding.

Trump said, “This morning, they asked me a question. Would you approve waterboarding? Would I approve waterboarding? Would I approve waterboarding? Well let me ask you a question. On the other side they chop off our young people’s heads and they put them on a stick. On the other side, they build these iron cages and they put 20 people in them. This will hurt him. I don't agree with waterboarding. Not because I care about what's happening to some terrorist, but because torture doesn't work for the most part. Only the weak will actually tell you the truth. Whocares what they have to say? They don't know anything. The ones you want info out of are going to tell you everything and anything EXCEPT the truth.

The thing is, I don't like people who talk smack. And so far, that's all he's done. It won't hurt him with those in his camp, I agree with that. But that is completely emotion based thinking. He's appealing to the pissed off. But THAT is his ONLY appeal. He's writing a bunch of checks he can't cash. Everyone's so keen on these "outsiders" but they'll get over once they get to DC about like the last outsider did -- Jimmy Carter.
