    Default A poem requested....

    Death, You Do Not Win

The world has been unkind to me
yet there's no where, no where to flee.
I'll sit and take it if I must
for all return to earthly dust.

To cry will do no worldly good.
Defy with spirit, as I should.
A loss that cannot be replaced
yet life must once again be faced.

So here I sit and wonder how
to stop the gloom which eats me now.
Can it be slain with greater love
or only healed by God above?

Once, anger always worked for me
but now, this time decides to flee.
Yet I seek not its quick return
true folly that my Soul shall spurn!

I have been asked to donate this poem to be one of many in a poetry book. To give it as a charitable contribution for a one time use in that book.
I've done this twice before with others in religious charities causes but not so sure if I should continue to do so.
The poem has placed first in two different contests.
    Advice anybody??

    She-Beast From Darkest Hell

The she-beast had claws like nine inch nails
sharpened to a cutting razor's edge.
She the worst beast from the wickedest hells
ghastly murders were her solemn pledge.

On dark stormy nights across earth she roams
seeking victims to slash and bleed.
Far worse than any monster from horror tomes
spawn of fallen, dark angels's seed.

Halloween night she seeks the smallest kids
to cut deep and gnaw viciously upon.
Long sucking tentacles like deep sea squids
she devours all, raw flesh and bones.

Demons spread her horror in nightmare tales
following bloody carnage where she goes.
As her daggers cut victim sees her red scales
as they are cut and ate down to their toes!

The she-beast had claws like nine inch nails
sharpened to a cutting razor's edge.
She the worst beast from the wickedest hells
ghastly murders were her solemn pledge.
