'Spices' is a recognisable word, spelled correctly, too. But I think you really meant to use another word entirely. And, Kipper, I'm not used to agreeing with FJ on anything at all, as anyone will tell you, starting with FJ (feels like a law of nature has been violated to try, or maybe just like a trip to the Twilight Zone !) .. but, I'm with him on this one. I, too, can't work out what the correct word is here, from context intended.

Curry is a dish. It's a combination of spices you can smell 3 doors down. Curry powder is a combination of spices ... mostly tumeric and cumin. Paprika if you can't spell one of those. Curry powder is as Western as Chinese food that we eat that no one in China does. And trust me, our version is better than what actual Chinese people eat.

Not strictly true, Kipper. The Nazis were experimenting with production of 'heavy water'. I think we were fortunate that the Nazis were defeated when they were. Given another year, maybe two, who knows what they might've achieved.

Are you kidding me? Which country was it that walked through the front door in Finland? Germany or Russia? I can't remember which without looking. But y'all just laid down and died. There was no country stronger than Germany and if Hitler hadn't been so dumb as to try invading Russia we'd probably speak a different language. It took us 3 years to ramp up and Britain -- God bless their soles -- defeated a far superior enemy just because they're stubborn, pig-headed asses.

Might want to try some history lessons before talking ignorant smack hereabouts.
