    Default From personal experience....loading..

I've found the time periods around the noon hour during the week, and primarily on Wednesdays when large Internet sites normally do their maintenance during the day, and Friday's after approx. 5 pm Eastern...there is a systematic slowdown due more people accessing the Web.

Call me crazy, or out of my league on this. But that is just something that has been happening for years. Even if most of my posts here are ignored by those who deny everything because THEY ARE SMARTER than me. Just ask them.

I would guess that the slowdown you observe during those times is more likely due to internet demand in your local area rather than the internet as a whole.

He's dreaming up more excuses. He's been jacking off for a couple of weeks. First he blames Janeen's pets. Then it's the server. I can't f-ing wait to see what he drills up next.

I have updated the ticket once again.

I think the errors that Kath got, which I have seen as well, are related to the overall slowness.

The board relies heavily on MYSQL to run the board, almost everything is stored in there. The error she got means more or less that the database didn't respond and timed out. Other times it works but takes a little while. I've been monitoring the board resources and see no reason as to why SQL should be overloaded, so not sure why it's not responding. Hopefully the host can help more.

Got this too, when I tried to access "Thanks", along with an SQL error message. and "Contact them" doesn't seem to be live.

Got an automated email that Abbey just got the same error. All of them point to "post_thanks" as what's not responding. Kath said notifications, but I assume that was checking them when receiving thanks? While we have slowness in other areas, I'm wondering if the "thanks" addon is dying. I could uninstall and reinstall, but we did that for a different reason once, and we will lose all of the data if we do so, if it comes to that. Personally, I couldn't care less. I don't know if others would be unruly if all those numbers were reset.

    I'll keep peeking into things.

I started posting before you did, just took my fat fingers longer!

Yeah, it's live, but maybe you don't have email setup within your browser? When you click that, it should automatically open an email up to that address. Works for me. Could always do manually too. Or just ask me here.

I like that it sent you an email.

Ironically, I tried to thank you for this, but it wouldn't work at all. You may be right that it is dying.
